I am looking for a metabolic/endocrine system endocrinologist willing to look at the big picture... any recomendations?
I'm not sure if he handles the metabolic part, but doctor Zeller is a nationally recognized endocrinologist. My sister sees him, he is wonderful. Here is a link:

I had a great experience at Midwest Fertility Center. They have offices in Chicago, Downers Grove and Naperville. My doctor left the practice(moved to Indianapolis), however, my friends have used Dr Donna Pratt.

Dr. Panine at the University of Chicago is the best. I had a "medical mystery" going on and needed the big picture looked at, and between her and a team of doctors, which is what you will get at the University of Chicago, they were able to figure out what was wrong with me when no other doctor near where I live could, and I spent a year trying to get diagnosed with several doctors near me. I would recommend the doctors at the University, they are the most knowledgable as they deal with strange situations everyday, and many of them teach as well. If you need a good Rheumatologist Dr. Sweiss is terrific, and if you need a good Neurologist, Dr. Rubeiz is the best.

The person to see is Luis F Soruco, MD...although Drs. Motto and Epstein also have outstanding reputations.
2) Reproductive Endocrinology
The Rinehart Center for Reproductive Medicine
The person to see is John S. Rinehart, M.D., Ph.D., J.D.
His offices are in Winfield (Central DuPage Hospital), Downers Grove (Good Sam Hospital) and Evanston (Northwestern Hospital).
