My twin boys first birthday party is next weekend. We have not nailed down a caterer yet to provide lunch for almost 50 people (I know! Way too many people! HA!). Does anyone know a reasonable one or restaurant we could check out? Thank you in advance!

If you can't find a caterer why not pick up some deli sand. made up & put out pickles, olives, get a veggie tray with dip in center, put out some nuts or mix of some sort & or chips & call it done.
I recently went to my great neice's B'day - they brought a high chair & set her in the center of the room with her personal cake while we sang. Then the Mom opened her gifts while we all watched. Took awhile. They had a sheet cake made probably at the grocery or Sam's. & served it with ice cream cups (not necessary)
My husband caters BBQ and is much more affordable than most caterers. Let me know if you'd like his contact info.
I say 50 people sounds fun! It is a lot of people. Sounds like you have had a hard year and you should have a grand celebration! Keep the kids in mind even though its their party dont feel like you cant put them down for a nap or more quiet place. On the inexpensive side of food we have used Hy Vee before. I believe it is around 7 dollars a person. Another idea would be any kind of bar b que. You could ask for the specialty sides to go along with the type of meat.
I hope you have a great time with all your friends and family.
HI J.,
We have a great mom at my daughter's school that does catering, she is superb!!! And very reasonable, you can contact her and tell her that I sent you, her daughter goes to 3rd grade like mine (they just got differnt teachers this year), I am sure you can work something out with her. Her name is Amy Sanders and her email is: ____@____.com
Best of luck!!!
