Take him to a daycare drop off now. Let this waiting time be your prepare time with him. Start your 'work' routine now. Drop him off in the morning, pick him up around lunch time, etc. Slowly if possible make the time longer.
Well I had an interview, got called back for a second one, and now it's a waiting game. As soon as my cori check and references are back I can start orientation. I will be working per diem so mostly when hubby is home but orientation is 2 weeks long and during the day. Any tips on how I can prepare my preschooler and help get him used to the idea of mommy working.

I'm sorry I didn't get back with you yesterday!! This is SUCH GREAT NEWS!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
I would prepare my kids first by being excited!!! I would tell him what his schedule will be like in short terms...let him know that mommy is going to be working and not at home...
I'm still kinda asleep - so give me a bit and I'll think on it - the first would be excited though - that I do know!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
