I need help in getting a surprise gift for a special girl who is turning 15. She will have a special celebration and open the gift in from of everyone. I came up with an idea of giving her different gifts that simbolize something about becoming a young lady. For example, a watch to simbolize patience. I will tag a special message on the watch to say the meaning of the watch. I need some help in coming up with other special gifts that can simbolize something or inspirational words that I can tag on to a dress, journal, toy,and purse. I would really appreciate some feedback. I think this is a good idea but I am not so inspirational. Thanks
Patty

You could go all out and use all the "Fruits of the Spirit" from Galatians 5:22 (in the NIV): "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control"

Following that, I would correlate the dress with "gentleness" since it's a reflection of her femininity,
the journal with "love, peace and faithfulness" to encourage her to re-enforce the positive things in her life and to express her thankfulness and faithfulness to God in her journal (and maybe give her a bible too),
the toy with "joy" for obvious reasons and the purse with "kindness", "goodness" and "self control", showing that she should share her gifts using kindness and goodness, balanced with self control.

Sunscreen-- probably one of the most important lessons we can teach young people is to always wear sunscreen!

THE JOURNAL- "To remember the present when it all too quickly becomes the past"

COIN PURSE- "For the simple pleasures, like ice cream cones, candy bars, and cold soda pop"

WOODEN PHOTO BOX- "A place for you to keep the images of the people who write on your soul throughout your journey"

A SINGLE ROSE- "To represent your inner beauty"

Hope you can take something from this!

I just attended a 15th. Someone gave her a jewelry box with her name and 15 written on it for a surprise gift.
I think you can do it at "things remembered."

ideas: give her make-up (Write:an easel of colors to design your own look. Your future is bright!)

Go my site: www.marykay.com/esmylozano (make-up tips, you might find some inspiration)

Is this a christian 15th? Would she welcome scripture? I can give you some specific ideas.
