I think a IPOD Shuffle. It is not that much and is very cool for a 10 year old, my daughter has the IPOD and she is only 6.
Hi-
Does anyone have any ideas on what to get a 10-year old? My husband and I have a god-daughter who lives far away that we would like to get a birthday gift for. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

My suggestions... based on personal experience with my daughter.
iPod
MP3 Player
Gift Certificate to her favorite clothing store or for a manicure/pedicure
Good luck!
Ask her mom where she likes to buy her clothes and get her a gift certificate. Does she have a charm bracelet that you can add on to? What about a diary? What about one of those Italian Charm bracelets that you can add on to with links that show her interests.
Hi N.,
I have a niece and nephew at this age. They alwasys tell me gift cards to Best Buy, Kohl's, or their fav. store. That way they get exactly what they want, and the mom's don't have to go out and return something. Can't go wrong!
;-)
Boy, 10 year olds are tough. We also have nieces and nephews around this age. I went to Learning Express (they are all over Chicagoland). Or you could go to any small toy store. And look in the craft area. I got a make your own purse kit, a friendship braclet maker and a scrap book kit. They had a crochet starter kit. I thought most of the stuff looked fun. They also have plastic totes you can have decorated and personalized.
Games are good too. Like trivia pursuit (a younger addition). Cranium has some good ones. Hope that helps.

Hi N.
The best thing to buy is a gift card.
Clothes from Express Kids. They are the younger version of Express. Gift certificate would be fine too. No Toys, this is an age where clothes are getting popular unless your ten year old has something specific or has a hobby in mind. Good Luck!
Hi. I just sent my niece in florida a bella bee kit..she called today and said it was cool..you can check it out at www.arkparties.com.......now if only xmas would be as easy...K.
We have little cousins in our family and sent sticker cameras and mini scrapbooks for Christmas one year - they had fun being able to use them right away, and it didn't cost their parents any time or $$ in developing later. We've also sent movie tickets w/ a bag of treats, and hair accessory kits have been great for the families that are trying to avoid the makeup and nail stuff for a few more years.
Would she like a manicure gift certificate? How much are you looking to spend? A MP3 player?
Hi,

You can choose an awesome collectible for her to stuff herself, make a wish on a rainbow star, name her new friend and you also would like you could purchase an outfit for her to dress her new friend.
You can order directly from my website above. It can be sent direcly to your god-daughter.
Take care,
J. G.
How about a gift card for a girlie store???
An mp3 player is an awesome gift - and I don't think 10 is too young of an age. There are quite a few inexpensive ones, too. (Ipods are kind of pricey...and a regular mp3 player works virtually the same without the high price. If you ask me, Ipods are all about the namebrand.) If you go to Best Buy or WalMart (I'm not sure about the online store) you can purchase a gift card for free music downloads to include with the mp3 player. Gift certificates for clothing or toys are all-around useful ideas, too. Make sure that some of the stores are located near her, though...or else make sure that the online store accepts the gift certificate. I would say that a nice piece of jewelry (necklace, earrings, bracelet) would be great, but I guess it depends on how responsible the child is. Good luck, and have fun!
Hi!
Check out http://www.mythirtyone.com/cutegifts
I am a consultant for this company and it has really, really cute and monogrammable stuff like purses (she might like at this age), totes, backpacks, jewerly, stationary, etc. If you have any questions, just let me know. Otherwise, gift certificate to Build a Bear or something might be good?
How about a diary, complete with lock?
