I always had to wait until it got hard, then break it up with something hard (a butter knife, a shoe, whatever) and then vacuum.
My 3 year old got a little tiny bit of playdoh on her carpet. We JUST moved into this house, so I need to get it up, but how?? I know you ladies will know some helpful tips!

Let it dry until it's hard and crunchy and then you can just pick it out. Or, use the edge of a spoon to scrape it once it's dry and vacuum it up.
I just made Playdoh this week and of course some ended up in the carpet. Let it dry and it'll vac up later. You may have to pick at it a little but it will come out.
Wait until it hardens and it will be a lot easier. You can just pick it out after that.
Scrape up what you can with your hand or a knife and then take a ice cube or a ice pack or just something very cold to harden the playdoh and use a butter knife to scrape it away. Thats what we did and it all came out. Good Luck!
