What happens if you block someone and they try to "friend" you? Does it tell them you have blocked them?
They can't see you to "friend request' you if you block them. It won't say they're blocked, they just can't see you.
If you block them, they shouldn't be able to find your name in the search in order to send you another friend request. They will be able to figure out you blocked them though.
If you blocked them, they won't see you. If you really dislike them enough to block them, then don't worry about what they don't see.

I take that back. It depends on how you block them. If you block them from posting on your wall then they are still friends but the can't post on your wall. I have some friends like this that I don't like their posts with their friends. If they want to message me they still can. But if you unfriend them and block them they won't be able to find you through search. But they will be able to see you on other friends that you have in common when you both post on their comments.
