Thumbs up, up, up. Anyone who says Dutch Wonderland is shabby needs a new pair of glasses. It is the perfect place for a 3 year old. But it is not a quick trip - you'll be there all day!
Has anyone been to Dutch Wonderland this summer? i've seen mixed reviews - some say it's the best place in the world for young kids and others say it's shabby. My daughter will be 3 this fall and loves carnival rides so we thought it would be a fun quick trip. I'm looking for some more reviews before I start planning.
Thanks!

It is great for younger kids, I took my daughter there every year up until she was old enough to go to great adventure and dorney and get on all the rides.
Dear J.,
we say thumbs up. My hubby and my daughter really enjoyed it last year. Daughter was 4 and she rememebers it.
It's no Disney world so thats why some may say she its shabby.. But its a GREAT first experience for a toddler or pre k amusement park. And they have these try it passes, check their website, where you can preview the park the evening before for 3 hours and then go for the full time the next day.

We just took my 3 kids there last week! They had a blast! Your daughter is the perfect age to enjoy it. You could even wait till next summer if you wanted to make a two day trip out of it, she will not outgrow it by then! I think my 4 yo and 5 yo enjoyed it more than my 2 1/2 yo did. There were a few rides that our 2 1/2 yo couldn't go on by herself, so mom or dad had to go too. She also was a little intimidated by a few of them.
Enjoy!
i never took my kids there when we lived in MD. then this july i decided to do a few days at hershey and 2 at dutch wonderland. wow. even though my kids are 6 they had a blast. wish we had only done dutch wonderland. it was awesome. also got a good rate for a stay at the inn at leola village. soooo beautiful. used to be i think a tobacco farm or factory (who knows) but it is amazing. try expedia to see what rates you find.
100 per cent thumbs up for both
We went for the first time this summer and my kids loved it. It is a little smaller than most amusement parks, but that's a good thing because you can see it all and do the things you like more than once. There were almost no lines. My 4-year-old could ride all of the rides (although he chickened out of a few). Even my 22-month-old could go on a lot of the rides, with a parent.
Everyone I know LOVES It!! Three is a perfect age- as is 4,5,6.... GO!!
