any one have advice for a double stroller for a large toddler? My 3 year old is all read 45lbs, and alot of these strollers, max out at 45 lbs.
the two that I have found that don't are the bob, and the city select, but i've read some reviews stating city select is too small for their large toddler.
any advice would be appreciated.
thanks

I loved our double Bob. It was great - smooth ride, easy to push, could get in and out of any store, etc. You can't go wrong with that. My kids stopped wanting to ride in a stroller around age 3, but if your child still wants to, you can't go wrong with the Bob.

LOVE LOVE LOVE my double BOB. Worth every penny. My kids are 4 and 5, 32 and 41 lbs, 39 in tall and 44 in tall. Both still fit and we still use it when we spend a long day out at a zoo, amusement park, festival or fair. My 5 yr old rarely rides anymore, but he will if we need to get to the far end of the venue in a hurry...or if it is really crowded, it is nice to have the kids together so we don't accidentally get separated.

The Graco roomfor2 stand and ride says their weight limit is 50 pounds, not much help, I know. How about a double jogging stroller?

Personally I would not bother with a double. A three year old is perfectly capable of holding on and walking alongside you. You will find yourself with a double stroller and one side empty.

I have a single Bob, but know people with a double that love it. I love my single. Jogging strollers are probably going to be the way to go. If you have a store that carries some I would go and try them out if possible with at least the toddler.

I have the City Select and the seat weight max is 45 lbs per seat, so I wouldn't waste your money. Also, my now 4 year old who is 40 lbs fits in the seats. However, with twins, she hardly ever gets to sit. What I did was buy a gliding board for the back of the stroller. My twins sit and she stands on the back and rides. She's been doing it since she was 3 and the board has a 50 lb limit. Look for a single stroller that you can put a glider board on. The City Select can be a single with the glider, but I know other strollers have gliders that attach.
