Double Stroller Tips

We have the Baby Trend sit and stand double stroller. Love it so far. It is great because it has 2 real seats but also converts to sit and stand and we will still be able to use it as my girls grow. Perfect for my 2 yr. old to sit in the back seat and baby carrier attached to front seat. Then as my 2 yr. old grows and decides she doesn't want to sit in a stroller seat, the back seat comes out and she can then sit on the bench or stand. I also like it because it is not too heavy and it is not as long as some of the others out there.

check out the one step ahead website. they have a great double stroller that allows you to click in your infant seat while providing a regular seat for your other child (tandem set up versus side by side). as your children get older, they will both have the option of sitting in a seat, or the back seat removes to allow one of the children to ride or stand. it's the "elite" style - and reasonably priced for all the options you're given. they are known for their quality, so check it out.

My 2 younger ones are 18 months apart and we tested several double strollers, including a sit and stand from One Step Ahead. For me that one was a lot harder to maneuver around corners and in folding. We ended up with a Graco double stroller and I loved it! The larger wheels made it easy to use, it folded easily, worked perfectly with my infant car seat (also Graco), and I used extra dog leashes from the vet's office to strap it into the back of my van upright, so that it took up less room.

I have the Greco tandum and love it. The sit and stands are probably for older kids but when they get older they no longer want to ride anyway. My four year old is ok with the tandum when she does want to ride and my 2 year old hardly wants to ride either,but number 3 will be her in October and number 2 will have to ride so I don't haveto chase her. It works.

My biggest advice is try them out in the store. I just got one as a gift and it is so hard to fold and unfold! Also, make sure it works with your carseat, they are not all universal. My daughters are 17 months apart, and we've used the Graco duoglider stroller. It's a really nice stroller, especially with the Graco infant seat, and is easy to maneuver. We are getting ready to put ours on Craigslist, as my older daughter now likes to walk everywhere. If you're interested in buying one used, let me know. The duoglider retails for $149 at Target, and we'll be selling ours for around $75.
