Just curious about this. I had this procedure done over 2yrs ago. I practically could have been a sales person for it b/c I was so impressed of how simple it was. BUT I have read online that some woman got pregnant afterwards even after they had their tubes checked for blockage. I haven't been feeling well lately/with irregular periods. Have to admit I wouldn't be upset if it did happen : ) I'm curious to read any personal experiences. Thanks!

What can I do next?

My best friend got pregnant about 6 months ago. She did not find out she was pregnant until she had a miscarriage. She had the procedure done about 5 years ago. They ended up doing a dye test on her fallopian tube & sure enough some of the dye made it through.

I've heard of women getting pregnant after it was done when they haven't waited the full 3 months for the tubes to be blocked completely.

non reversible and having the procedure fail are NOT the same thing. Sure the procedure can fail. when they check your tubes for blockage, they can spasm, causing them to appear blocked when they aren't. So they may think the procedure worked but one tube just doesn't seal up the way it should. I would think this is terribly unlikely. However anything can happen.

Not heard of anyone that got pregnant afterwards but maybe, just maybe, they were supposed to have that unexpected baby.

I'm having it done in January. From everything I've read - all situations where it was done correctly have zero documented cases of pregnancy.

But as someone else mentioned, there's always the chance that it wasn't done right, I guess.
