I had it done over a year ago. I would do it again. I did not have any problems, it was a little painful but it did not last long. The test after three months to see it it worked was short and only a little uncomfortable. No problems!!
I am wondering if anyone had the Essure procedure done. I would love to ask you questions. Does it hurt? Good outcome? Anything you can add would be great.
Well, I had it done 3 weeks ago. I walked right out of the office with almost no spotting and no pain! There was absolutely no pain during the procedure! I would recommend this to anyone. I am so glad I did this then have a tubal!

I didnt have it done.. but I did as my gyn about it.. They do not perform the procedure.. she did not think it was a good idea.
There are drs that perfrom it in the area. You can find them online.
3 months after you have the procedure you have to have adye test to see if the procedure was successful.
I had the dye test as part of an infertility workup.. and I thought the dye test was painful and I was sore for seveal days..
My friend's husband markets this for Dr.'s and just told me about it a few weekends ago. I asked my OB about it, my third is due in June and I want the most assurance against another pregnancy as possible. But since I'm already scheduled for a C- section and this procedure would need to be done after I healed, I'm just getting a tubal and then checking it with the dye test. Otherwise I'd just have my husband get a vasectomy, which is probably less painful for him than some of what has been experienced by others here.
I had it done with no complaints. I would however tell you not to have it done at the dr office. I did and there were a few complications (it just took longer than anticipated, one of my tubes was being stubborn) I would advise to have it done as an outpatient procedure and be put under anesthesia. Hope all goes well!!
I'm with Lisa on this one. I too had the HSG (Dye Test and it isn't fun though I hear it hurts much worse if your tubes are blocked. I know this is the point of the Essure SP surgery though. I only heard of this procedure the other day, but I cannot tell you how long it's been in practice. Best thing you can do is research it thoroughly so you can make an informed decision. I wish you the best of luck and if you do end up doing it please let us know how things go.
My sister got the procedure done last week and so far so good! She has never been good with anesthesia so she was very sick through the next day, couldn't keep anything down. She had pain, discomfort and cramps for about 3 days, since then she has fully recovered. This is the procedure I am planning on having done after our little one is born in August, if you have not gotten it done yet, I'll let you know how it goes! Good luck!

Hi
I had essure done. At first I went to the office and they could only do my right tube. When they did the left the implant did not go in. I did not have to much pain on the right side but I had a lot on the left. I had to go to carson hospital to have the left side done. After They put them in I had a little cramping but not to bad. If i had to do it again I would but I would have had both sides done at hospital. I hope this helps you.
I'm curious to know what the "essure procedure" even is. I never heard of it before. Is that the correct spelling?
