Do You Argue with Your Spouse While at Work?

I have a co worker who has no problem letting her husband and children have it while she is at work. When I say the entire office can hear her conversation! WE CAN! Does this happen at your place of employment? or is this you? LOL!

I can see a spur of the moment convo, like when I had to tell my hubby off about buying my daughter some shoes(I ended up in the hallway on that one) but I am talking about all the time!

so glad I am off until next week! Happy Holidays and enjoy your weekend!

What can I do next?

I have heated conversations in my office alone. There are others that you can hear all over the building. But, in the long run it doesn't matter because we tell each other anyway. There are only 5 of us and we know everything about each other at this point. Never ever would I let any superiors overhear anything like that though.

I'm surprised that A) she hasn't gotten in trouble for creating an uncomfortable office environment for others and B) she's not worried about being replaced by a normal, sane person.

I feel bad for her, kind of. When you get to the point of thinking it's normal & acceptable to yell at your husband & kids over the phone at work, you've got to have some serious anger or personal issues going on.

How unprofessional! I'd be so embarrassed for her. I also feel sorry for her husband.

LOL There is a couple of people at work that I've heard on their phone with their children yelling at them or grounding them. It's kind of funny. I personally will not raise my voice if I'm on the phone and having a disagreement.

Sometimes, but I have a private office. If I'm in a public place I end the conversation immediately by saying "I am not discussing this now. I'll call you later." By the time call him back, he's usually over it.

I can't say that I have never, but I am like you I go to another room.

There is one girl I work with who airs everything in an "Outside voice". She is unfortunately, the owners granddaughter. Nothing we can do but laugh at how completely CRAZY she comes across sometimes. Even with her bank who she is on the phone with at least ONCE a week grilling them as to why she has an over draft fee.
Fun stuff...Oh, we also have a hole in the wall of the stairway due to her swinging the door open. All I can say is I stay for the flexability and the REAL loyal employees!
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year!!

I have to say it, bully for you Eliza. No I don't argue with my husband at work. We have conversations, and sometimes he can irritate me, but our dynamic is non-confrontational. I have heard my staff talking loudly about their breasts and sex etc.

I NEVER get into it like that at work or at home for that matter. Even when the kids make me angry, I never get loud.

We have a saying in our home, "Don't have intercourse with our money". We don't do anything that would or could jeopardize our income. Personal arguement at the workplace on company time are unprofessional where we both work and wouldn't fit into the culture at either of the places we work and could be grounds for immediate termination.

I do not do what your coworker does. If we are having a spat. We table the verbal discussion until I get home...Otherwise, I use text or personal email to convey what is on my mind.
