Dad-friendly Baby/Kids Books

Does anyone know any really good dad-friendly baby or kids books. I'm wanting some good ones my husband can read to our daughter where the dad is the "hero" instead of the mom. As an example, it seems like most of the ones I have are all about the mom and the kid - like the Llama Llama books, Knuffle Bunny, etc. What about the dad?? Thanks!

What can I do next?

Thank you all so much! My hubby's bday is in March - can't wait to look these up and find some gifts for him from our daughter!

Its the story of Big Nutbrown Hare and Little Nutbrown Hare, altho they are both called "he". But it is my fave and my daughter and hubbys fave from when she was little (she is 16 now and they still say "I love you to the moon and back" from the last page of the book...and other lines in there).

"The Daddy Book" by Todd Parr (he has many others, including "The Mommy Book", and I love all of them.)

There is also "What Daddies Do Best" but I cannot remember the author.

We love the "How Dinosaurs..." series by Jane Yolen. There are a bunch of them and they have moms and dads throughout.

I would go to the library and ask to speak with the children's librarian. She/He will be able to give you some great suggestions... you can check them out and if you like them go out and buy them!

I just bought "If I Could Keep You Little" for my husband and son to read together for V-Day.

"Daddies are for catching fire flies" by Harriet Ziefert and Cynthia Jabar. It's a really cute book and talks about things that daddy wears (that kids often play in) and the fun things to do with daddy. There is a whole series Mommies are for....., Brother's are for..... My daughter got these and she loved them.
I looked on Amazon and there seem to be a lot of really cute daddy books, perhaps write down a few titles and see if you can borrow them from the library.

"Hunting the Daddyosaurus" is our favorite. Also, "Going on a Bear Hunt" and "Baby Can't Sleep" has the whole family involved.

Love you Forever!!! Remember thats the one where his mom would sneak into his room and sing to him at night and then when she gets old he sneaks into her room and sings to her. "I'll love you forever, I'll love you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be" Ah I'm gonna cry!
The Giving Tree. that's the one where the tree gives everything he has to the little boy.
Any and all Shel Siverstein books - especially Where the Sidewalk Ends It's fun and silly ruddles and poems, with a definate dad sensibility.
