Hi mamas! DH and I are just starting to try out couponing (he actually does most of the shopping and cooking in our house). We usually shop at Albertsons. Can you all suggest any websites that might help out? I notice that Couponmom.com doesn't do Albertson's, and I'm hesitant to pay for Grocery Game since we're just starting out and not really sure how well it will work for us. If we do end up paying for something, do you like Grocery Game or Sisters of Savings better? We're kind of health nuts--vegetarian, no processed foods, nothing with high fructose corn syrup, etc.--so we're pretty sure we won't be one of those families that saves 50%, but even 20% or so would be a huge help. I already signed up for the Dallas Morning News Briefing, so we'll start getting coupon inserts on Saturday. Any other tips would be appreciated! TIA!

I've done some of the "extreme couponing". The food items you get with coupons are almost all the kind of stuff you say you don't eat.
With the time (extremely labor intensive) you spend on getting the coupons ready, etc, you'll be far better off starting a garden. Then you'll know the vegetables will be organic and fresh.
Good luck to you and yours.
I work at Albertson's and the only thing I can tell you is that we do not 'double' coupons that are for more than $1 off, just FYI.
Not sure where you should go to get other coupons, I am not familiar with the sites you are talking about but wanted to wish you luck...I know that LOTS of people are doing the extreme coupon-ing these days and the amount of savings some of these people get is AMAZING!
~We also have a pretty good selection of 'organic' store brand items, IMHO.
Because you eat healthy, your use of coupons will be limited. If you have
watched Extreme Couponing on TLC, you will notice that most of the things
they get are not healthy. Soda, candy, Ramen noodles (ugh). You never
see them buying fruits and fresh vegies. They do buy body wash, toothpaste
and other sundry items. So I think, like me, your use of coupons will be
limited.

Look at coupondivas.com, I think they do Albertson's but I'm not sure.
the grocery game has a 30day free trial, I am using it right now, it has been effective, however I do not buy a lot of things that have coupons! What I do like about grocery game is that it notifies you about sales/deals not just helps you find the coupons you need.
