Use a non-slip rug thing! Not too expensive, sold at home stores, IKEA, Lowes, etc. Doesn't have to be as big as the bed, just something in the middle on top of the box spring.
I am wondering if anyone would have a suggestion on how to keep bedskirts in their place.
We redid our girls rooms as part of their Christmas present. This included painting and new bedding. We allowed them to pick out their own comforters etc. The problem we are having is when they make their beds now and tucking in the blankets, the bedskirt always wants to come along. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to keep them in place?
Would appreciate any suggestions!!!

You could safety pin the top edge of the bedskirt to the material on the box springs?
I have the same problem on my bed. Just pulling it down when it happens is about all you can do - or you can eliminate the skirts if it's really too much trouble. I think they can learn to deal with it - just an extra step.
You could also put sticky backed velcro on it to help keep it in place.
B.; its soo great to have their rooms finished off and looking all nice, the only way i have found to do this, is to untuck it when youve tucked it in, ahahah and or to slowly find the crease lift the mattress a bit and then tuck the blankets, just untuck them is all i know, ahhaha i bet their rooms look great, have fun D. s
Hi B.,
I found the best thing to deal with this! I think that they are called bedskirt pins and I think that I bought them at JCPenney in the bedding department. They look like thumbtacks but the metal tack is spiral. YOu put your bedskirt in place and then I place a tack in all 4 corners and in the middle of each side and you basically screw them in place. They stay put wonderfully and are flush with the top of the boxspring, unlike a diaper pin, so there are no snags!
Good luck!

My mom gave me this great tip and we use it on all our beds now. Go to the dollar store and buy packs of baby diaper pins (the big ones). Pin the bedskirt right to the box spring pad all the way around. Put the pins about 6 - 8 inches from the side of the box spring. Your skirt will never move. I even did it on my son's crib when he was a baby because his crib skirt moved all over. Once I did this, it never moved again.
I do what Amanda suggested with the safety pins on all of our beds. It works, the bedskirt stays where it's supposed to :)
