I am looking for a very good organization to doante many new baby items. Preferrably an organization that helps young single mothers. Any help is greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

The preg. center is a great place. to find out more about them their web site is www.pregctr.net They can always use nice things to give to the young girls that come to them in need. I am so sorry to hear about your "loss".

dear D.,
how generous of you. I do know that there are pregnancy centers and shelters that are always in need. Catholic Charities helps mothers.

Oh, you dear sweet thing! I'm so sorry to hear your story! I know the Lord will bless your hearts and restore them in the near future, just keep faith. In the meantime, I know CASA, downtown St Pete is always in need of things for moms on the run from abusive husbands/boyfriends. There is also a Pregnancy Center in St Petersburg that probably takes donations. I know that my church, Suncoast Cathedral, helps many single moms, and I'm sure many other churches have ministries that do the same. You may want to do some search engines online to see what you come up with!
Good luck on your search and sorry I didn't have a direct place for you to donate, but I do wish you the best of luck and you WILL be blessed for your giving heart!
In Him,
S.

Dear D.,
I am so sorry about your experience. I can only imagine what you must be going through. After my son outgrew some stuff (including his crib) we donated to Alpha House in St Pete - it helped young, unwed mothers with supplies and services. I don't know if they are still in operation or not because my son is 9 now, but they were very appreciative. Another good organization (assuming they are still in business as well) is CASA, a domestic violence organization. I volunteered there a long time ago and their main office was in St Pete, but they took donations elsewhere. I hope this helps, and I wish you peace.
