Hello my name is E. We got to our Lady of mount carmel on Harpersville road in Newport News VA. We really like it there it's a school and church. please let me know if you need any other help
I know you posted a while ago, but I just found your request. I go to The Church of The Good Shepherd (that's the formal name, we just call it Good Shepherd) in Smithfield, on Smithfield Blvd, off of S. Church St. I don't know if you've found us yet, or have been going to Mt. Carmel in Hampton. We're a little different, have a pastoral coordinator who handles all of the spiritual and administrative duties for our parish. We have a priest for Mass on Sundays at 9:00 am--very rarely we don't, and there is a service to cover that. We're ahead of the curve in learning what being a parish without a full time priest is like.
I don't know how far along you are with the marriage prep, and don't know if you have to belong to a parish for a certain amount of time to be married there. The number for Good Shepherd is ###-###-####, the pastoral coordinator is Joanne Gordon. Good luck, hope to meet you.
I can tell you a little about churches in Hpt/NN. Or are you looking for ones in Smithfield?
