I am looking for a caring Ob/Gyn in Augusta, Ga. I am 25 weeks pregnant and need to switch doctors. I have GA medicaid and only got to see the doctor once because they messed up my insurance and problems with the doctor and her office. I do not feel comfortable with this doctors office but I am having trouble finding another doctor. I also am chemically sensitive and have had 2 preemies in the past. Help!

What can I do next?

West Augusta Ob/Gyn is a very comfortable office I have seen Dr Bridges she was very nice and understanding. I'm not sure where you are going before but I found this office to have a great atmosphere.

I moved here while I was pregnant and went to Dr. Cook at Augusta GYN. As the other poster said, I don't know where you were going, but I really like Dr. Cook and all the nurses there. It's in University hospital, so that was nice for me as that's where I delivered. When I called and told them my situation (I think I was around 20 or 25 weeks too) and requested an appointment with Dr Cook, the nurse did tell me she'd have to check with the Dr first, so I don't know if I just got lucky or why exactly she had to check first. Good luck finding a doctor you can work with!

I think Dr. Carla Morgan-Gibbs with OB & Gyn Assoc. of Augusta is very caring and thorough. I don't know if she accepts Mcaid, but she delivers at University Hosp. which does- worth checking into.

Dr. Devoe at MCG specializes in high risk pregnancies, that is another option to look into.

Good luck and God Bless!

Good afternoon J.,

My niece started out seeing Dr. Rafeal Jordan at 2806 Hillcreek Drive, Augusta, GA 30909 ###-###-####, and I love him. My niece is only 16 years old and was very high risk. He is a very loving and caring man. Her water broke at 18 weeks and he continued seeing her until 24 weeks at which time he transfered her to a specilist Dr. Debra Ware and she is equally as wonderful, her address and phone number is 1348 Walton Way, Suite 5500, Augusta, GA 30901, ###-###-####. She is now 29 weeks today and the Lord is yet blessing. She is in the hospital on complete bedrest, and Dr. Ware is there everyday. I pray this helps, oh they both take GA Medicade. Have a blessed week and I pray for a wonderful pregnacy. God Bless, D.

J.,

I went to Dr. Erna Waxman @ West Augusta OBGYN office their number is ###-###-####. Their office is located off of Wheeler Road you turn like going into Doctor's Hospital.

She is my regular GYN and I have being going to her for the last 10 years (I am 30 now). I have two boys 3 and 6 months and she delivered both. The staff there is great and so is she. I think there are 3 other doctors in that office. She is a mother too and I think that helps because I feel like she really understood my issues better.

I also heard good things about a Dr. Hatim Lukman @ Augusta GYN that number is ###-###-####.

I pray that you find the right doctor to take care of you and your baby. I would diffently be calling around and explain your situation to the new doctor so they can get you in soon!

Please feel free to email me if I can help in anyway.
