Hello everyone,

I had a death in the family and have to fly my family to the East Coast tomorrow. We usually use a great car service to get to the airport b/c we've had many problems with cab services once we started bringing our baby and the car seat. Because we had to schedule the trip without notice, our usual car service is already booked up. They only charge $20 and are so friendly. We live in Playa del Rey right next to the airport so we don't want to pay more than $20-$30 each way to get to the airport. Anyway, does anyone have a good car service or a reliable, clean and child-friendly cab company to recommend? We're leaving tomorrow morning.

Thanks and Happy Holidays!

So What Happened?

Thank you to everyone who responded and for all the kind words. We found a nice taxi service called Green Taxi in Santa Monica. We'll see how it goes! Thank you!

Coming from WLA and Beverly Hills,we have never had any problems
with the Beverly Hills Cab Co.They probably will service Play del Rey.
Give them a call.

why not call your regular friendly people and ask who they recommend. (yes they'll be giving you the name of their competitor, but oftentimes, these competitors are friends and know eachother). Just a thought. Or see if your neighbor can drop you off at the airport, if you really are close by. If you were my neighbor I'd drop you and your kiddo off for you.

Or, perhaps, ask a neighbor to come with you to the airport
in your own car, and then the neighbor can drive your car back home.

About cab companies . . . . I've seen cabs
that are bigger than the usual sedans, like SUVs.
I wonder if you could call a cab company
and TELL the dispatcher that you need a larger cab
and that you intend to bring the baby's carseat.

Condolences on the passing of your family member.

You may already have gone--but have you checked to see if FlyAway will work for you? I'm not sure about how child-friendly the buses are, so that may not be what you're looking for, but it certainly was affordable and clean.
