Dr Jay Gordon is in Santa Monica. I understand his partner is just as great as he is, which is a huge plus in my book. He has a website.
Hi! I am researching to find peditrication in Santa Monica/Marina del Rey.
I am a first time mom so not sure what to look for in a pediatrician.
Thanks for the help!

Dr. Bob Hamilton is great in Santa Monica. Don't have his number handy. Check the insurance info as his policies may have changed.
Sharon Kaminker, M.D. Pediatrician in Santa Monica she is great!
I'd recommend Dr. Danelle Fisher at Westchester Pediatrics. My family has been going here for years. Danelle Fisher and the other on staff doctors (Dr. Daniel Lau and Dr. Amy Shapiro) are all friendly and very knowledgeable. The office and the exam rooms are very child-friendly--the waiting room has tons of toys and games for the kids and each of the exam rooms has a different theme, such as the Jungle Book or Doctor Seuss. And best of all, parking is free and abundant--a real bargain in Los Angeles. http://www.westchesterpeds.com
Hi!
Many pediatricians in Santa Monica no longer accept insurance--I guess their patients can afford it, but I can't. I am very happy with my new pediatric group--UCLA Pediatrics on National Blvd./Sawtelle. My kids' dr. is Dr. Alban, and he is very sensitive and responsive. The phone # is ###-###-####.
I highly recommend Dr. Daniel Lau in Westchester (just south of Marina del Rey). He's terrific with our son and very flexible and understanding--he answers our questions but primarily follows our lead and is very reassuring. Westchester Pediatrics accepts most major insurance carriers and their number is ###-###-####. They are open late on Mondays, open the 3rd Saturday of the month, and the nurses are wonderful, too.
Mine is FANTASTIC! Dr. Robert Hamilton. If he is no longer taking new patients, his associate, Dr. Roberts, is great too!

Dr. Young Nam Choi at UCLA West L.A. Pediatrics is great. She's been my son's pediatrician for 13-14 years (he's 16 now!) I've had nothing but good experiences with all the UCLA docs. Questions you will want to ask concern circumcision, vaccination schedule, what really constitutes a medical emergency, developmental milestones, etc. In addition to childbirth classes, I strongly recommend a parenting class so you'll know what to do once your baby comes home. You'd be surprised, my husband and I were totally clueless. Good luck.
