Hi M.! My daughter had the same problem, and I just had to remove it from the living room. Sometimes that is the best thing, to eliminate every possibility to say "no" and that usually means redecorating the living room, or clearing it out. Best of luck to you!

Move the coffee table out of the room. Babies R Us should have the round table edgers that wrap around it. But it can still come off.

Hey, it's Pooky's Mama. Is this your coffee table? If so, I would store it somewhere else for a while. When I was pregnant, we had to buy a lot of furniture and I intentionally didn't buy a coffee table because I knew this would happen eventually. So instead, I bought these plastic, very lightweight tables from IKEA for about $10-15 each. They have a triangular top with rounded edges. I have 4 of them. Two as end tables and two placed together as a coffee table. Now when Natalie bumps her head, I don't have to worry because it's only plastic. If you want more info, I can look it up on the IKEA website so you can see what they look like. Let me know.

When my son started moving around we starting looking for table bumpers as well. Our coffee table is square but it is too large for all of the pre-made protectors so my husband decided to get crafty. He went to Lowes and bought some pipe insulation. It is round and padded and has a slit in it that opens on one side (so you can slip the pipe into it). We just used that opening to slip it onto our table. It comes in different varieties so we got black to match our table. We also got the kind with built in sticky stuff so we just stuck it right to our table. We haven't tried taking it off yet so we have yet to see if the glue will leave any damage. This stuff is bendable and plyable so I would think it would work on any shape of a table. It is worth a try if you are desperate. I think the tubes are only like $2 a piece. Good luck.
