what would u do if your 21 yr old brother was stealling money from your family members? he was caught stealing from our dad and now our poor grandparents. and the amount taken from them wasnt nothing to play with. he dont work he dont drive lives with friends.
UGH. never though id be in this sittuation since growing up he was totally opposite of this!
Call the police and file a theft report.
Make sure that he has no access to any bank accounts, checkbooks, debit or credit cards.
Do not allow him into your father's or your grandparent's homes.
Take a very hard line on this.

He obviously has some problems and needs to deal with them. Does he have an addiction? He might be stealing because he's desperate. While I am sure you love him you and your family need to set some boundaries on visits and interaction to avoid and curtail some of this stealing from you. So sorry that this has happened to your family. Your brother obviously has a problem.
Cut ties (for now) and change the locks. He's an adult and you don't know what he's involved with. If he needs help, you could offer to help him find it or give advice...but I wouldn't give him anything. Hopefully he can change his ways.
I'd change the locks and put locks on bedrooms where valuables are kept so they can be locked when he comes over. I'd also set up a video camera with a motion dector for when he comes over.
