I am looking to get some information on a BC pill that doesn't make you feel tired or moody. I've tried Lo24 but it seems to make me feel overly tired during the day.
I have an appt this week with my OB and I need to have my mind made up on the choice of BC I want.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you all so much who took the time to help me make my decision. I've talked with my OB and have decided to try YAZ.
I hope it's as good as I've heard and thanks again to all who helped! : )

I second YAZ! I love it. Shorter and lighter periods, and i haven't experienced the moodiness and all like from other pills! That sounds ike a commercial...but its true! hah!

Please be aware that low dose is less effective if you weigh over 150 - I learned the hard way. :) Of course, I wouldn't send him back on a bet - but with a new baby, you're not in the market for any surprises.

YAZ is great, I can't say enough of it. My mood was great and I never felt tired. I stopped taking it because of the weight gain, for some reason it really made me crave food and my sex drive was going down hill, but if I could recommend a birth control pill to anyone, that would be it. If you do end up taking YAZ, I would suggest to only took it first thing in the morning because when I took it at night I would have terrible nightmares.

Hi K.,

I have used OrthoTri-cylen LO, the NuvaRing, and now I'm on Errin (progestrone only pill). With OTC-Lo I had migraines but that was all, with the NuvaRing my periods were clotty, but I didn't have to worry about taking a pill everday, and with Errin I'm fine but I usually have a period every other month which is nice. I think alot of the women on this forum are on the IUD Mirena. Good Luck!

Best pill is YAZ. It is actually made to have little to no side effects, and helps to eliminate any PMS. (no bloating, cravings, mood swings, or weight gain)
LOVED IT!!

I had issues with the pill and switched to the patch. I have been very happy with the patch. I was on ortho lo before. Your OB should be able to explain the differences and how different people react to the different levels and delivery methods of hormones. My OB was very helpful in finding the right method for me.

I have tried several different ones over the years. The one I like the best (actually love !) is the one I'm on now. It's the 3 month pill (forget the name right now). I haven't had the mood swings that I used to have and it's been a really long time since I've had a period - over 6 months - which I love !

Good luck in finding something !
