I am moving very soon, sometime at the end of December. Need boxes! Have none! Has anyone recently moved and has boxes they don't need anymore? I have 3 year old twin sons with lots of toys and other toddler stuff. DH and I have stuff, too.

Appreciate your help!

What can I do next?

If you look on craigslist : http://dallas.craigslist.org/ There are often people posting free boxes to anyone who would like to pick them up.

I agree with the poster about Walmart. However, 5-6am may be a little too late. My hubby used to work o/n at Walmart as a stocker. He says the best time to go in is usually around 12:30am. By this time, most of the boxes should be emptied from when the stockers stack the freight on each sides of the aisles. If you go too late, they may have already broken the boxes down and put them in the compactor. Sometimes boxes from the frozen dept are thicker and better made than some of the others.

You can also call your Walmart around 8-9pm and ask for the overnight manager (they come in at 8pm usually), and let them know you would like to come in and get some boxes and approx. what time you'd be there.

We just moved into our new home in May and as I slowly unpack I am accumlating tons of box's. I gave alot away but now the pile has built back up. You would be doing me a favor by taking them off my hands!!!!

I have an SUV and will be more than happy to deliver them to you if you live close to the Keller/Southlake area.

We would always do this when I was younger and moving. We would go to places like Wal-Mart or Target or any grocery stores and ask if they had any boxes that you could take cause you are moving. Many times they will just take you to the back and let you grab as many as you need. I think it would best to go in the morning hours since they stock their shelves in the morning. At least in Wal-Mart I see them stocking in the early morning hours-5-6am. Also with everyone buying now for Christmas they will have more boxes from re-stocking shelves. SO I would try Wal-Mart.
