For a newbie, I would start with something like tumblr. Take a look around on there, see what you like and start your own.
Okay.. so I guess Blogs can be like a diary, or other types of sites to post personal things... Can anyone tell me how to start one and if it can be annonymous and how to get "followers" and such? I really know nothing about them, but I'd like to put my thoughts out there without my name attatched.

There are a number of free blog sites, such as wordpress. You just sign up for an account, just like getting a web-based email account.
However, I don't know how you can both get followers and be anonymous. Friends I know who have blogs get followers by sending a message to their friends saying "hey Friend, I just started a blog. Here's the web address, come and check it out." But by doing it that way, everyone knows who is writing the blog.
I started a blog on wordpress. I think I got followers because if you log into wordpress and follow other blogs and either like or comment on other blogs, it can link through the wordpress and people will click on the "name" of the commenter and get to your blog. Wordpress might also have a page re. how to grow followers. I'm sure there are some articles out there about this through google as well.
I have a blog on Blogspot. I am not anonymous, but you could likely be anonymous if you start a new email address just for the blog, I suppose.
As for followers, my blog doesn't get a lot of commenting community, but I do get a fair number of hits. I don't follow other blogs to 'exchange' interest per se; it's been more word of mouth amongst people I know. I write about parenting and so some friends will ask for links to specific posts so they can send it to a friend/family; I have also started a correspondence with a child therapist halfway round the world, so that's been neat.
it'll be as anonymous as the name and email address you use, i suppose. if you're really hinky about anonymity, get a bland email address just for the blog.
