The only way to tell is to get a blood test from your doctor. If your levels are still high, I would ask for a vaginal ultrasound to see if they can find the baby. Let them know that you are on the depo shot so they understand your concerns.

I've had 3 miscarriages and this is what they have done for me in the past for all three.

I would get this done right away so you are not worrying about it.

Good luck and God bless!

I would definitely call a doctor today, the on call one if your dr's office isn't open. If you are pregnant, and something went wrong that caused an early miscarriage, I can't imagine it's healthy for you to have the aftermath inside of you. Also, if you were happy about the positive pregnancy test, maybe it's time to think about getting off the shot so the next time you'll have more success. Good luck, and if it is a miscarriage, try to keep your chin up and maybe see it as a sign that you're ready for a baby, and try to look at it simply as a time to go off birth control. Miscarriages are hard, but it's helps knowing that they happen so often. It only takes one little thing going wrong. I hope that helps

There's no reason to call your doctor. They can't change it if it is a miscarriage. Your body will expel a miscarriage - there won't be any "aftermath" inside you. Wait until the bleeding stops, then take another test. I had a full-blown period-like week when I didn't know I was pregnant. I realized when I missed the NEXT period that I was pregnant.
1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage, so, while you might be sad, it's nothing to worry about unless it keeps happening when you try to get pregnant.
If you want to get pregnant, don't get another shot. But yes, you can get pregnant while using any hormonal birth control. That's how hormonal BC works - first it suppresses ovulation, then it thins the uterine lining so that in the event that you do ovulate and conceive, the pregnancy doesn't take. All hormonal birth control works this way.
