I have a friend who would like to know if anyone has had a birthday party at a Build-A-Bear Workshop. Or can anyone give me ideas where she can have a birthday party for her son who will be 5 next month. Something that isn't too expensive. She lives in Ft. Worth near Ridmar Mall.

Thanks A Lot,
C.

I had a party for my daughter when she was younger at the Build-A-Bear at Ridgmar and it was great. The kids LOVED the animals and they were actually very reasonable, I think I spent about $15/child by just getting the cheapest bear and a little sundress (they had a TON of colors and patterns). Afterwards, we all went down to Chili's for lunch. Their kids meals were very reasonable and they all had a great time. This was several years ago, but the wait-staff made a big deal about the bears and had the kids "model" them, they were great, too. I hope this helps!

Hey Carman,

I host birthday parties that are very similar to Build A Bear but I come to you. I provide the invitations, craft or activity, and goodie bags and the best part is I come to you and you get to sit back and relax. Parties start at $13 per child and I have a special on Mamasource for a free outfit for the birthday boy with a workshop of 10 or more.

Look no further- a party at your house with the same concept but better-
Noahs Ark Animal Workshop- the best idea I have seen for kids party! She runs the stuffed animal party for you and the kids do it themselves.

I agree the Pump It Up Right behind the Mall is a great Idea. I think its pretty cheap to. Depending on what you want to include w/the party. Do a google search for Pump it up they have a website that will give info. Another idea, is a swimming party at the YMCA. Their parties are very inexpensive too! Just call your local YMCA for info! Good luck

We had a party for my daughter at the Grapevine Mills Build-a-Bear and it turned out great. It wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be. Since the guests get a bear and a little goodie bag you don't have to buy all those little trinkets that end up costing a bunch but are pretty worthless. We had a cookie cake in the mall, but I know folks that have brought their own food for the parties too.

She might check out the Jump arround place right outside the mall. I don't know the cost, but we went to one at Lets Jump in Keller and had a blast.

I have a suggestion for your friend how about a Noahs Ark party at her house. The animals only are $18 per child or animal and T Shirt is $ 21 or we could do a animal and outfit which is $30 per child. She could have each parent choose and pay for the animal they would want to use and I would do everything from games to playing with the kids. We could do this at there house or a park. I also am with Usborne Books and Barefoot Books and she could do a party with the books. To do a B/Day party with either of these she could make a wish list and the guests could pick from a Wish lis the child would make. For a goodie bag if she was looking for something we could put in Ballowns and Bookmarkers. This party would not cost anything unless she choose to purchase the bookmarkes and ballowns. Or books for teh kids. This type of party can be done anywhere to. Thanks, G. C.
