I was put on camila (a birth control pill) to see if it would help with my menstraul pain and see if the pain is ouvlation related or mensus only. I toke the pills for two months and after the first month i had my cycle a few days early...but i wasnt worried about it. I continue to have pain not only during my cycle but off and on all month. My doctor said take the pills for one more month and if it doesnt help we will take you off them. So i toke them for one more month...it didnt help so i quit taking them almost two weeks ago.

this month i havent had my cycle yet....i quite taking the pill I have not started my mensus yet. Is it normal after stopping birth control not to have a cycle?

What can I do next?

Your body need time to readjust itself to normal.(your normal) no one is the same. Be patient. Here is what i tell my girls. When they feel a pain (cramp)write it down on the calander and then write down what they did the day before as well as what they ate. Write down where the pain is located. So now the next time write everything down again and see if there is anything related. Continue this for a month or so and then go back to your dr. You may have a cyst. Or fibroid which both are usually non-cancerous. Be active during you crampy cycle is will alleviate the pain as well as take your mind off it!! Good luck and god bless

Revisha gave you good advice. You might consider endometriosis as well. It can cause pain (sometimes just with a period, sometimes throughout the month) and irregular periods. Birth control doesn't always work in controlling endometriosis. Because doctors can differ so much in their understanding and treatment of these kinds of issues, you may benefit from getting a second opinion, or third or fourth, however many it takes until the problem is pinpointed and you find relief from your pain.

I was put on the lose dose Camilla after having my second child. I bled through it for 3 weeks. My doc put me on the heavy dose I didn't bleed for 1 month. I try to give it time to get into my system. I gave it twso or three months to get straight. But it did and I'm back!

I'm not sure about the part about starting your period again, but I would recommend some really good calcium and see if that helps the pain. I take Rainbow's Food-based calcium and my body seems to absorb it really well. Good luck!

Birth control pills always made my cycle more predictable, and that effect lasted for several months, until I got pregnant - which was to goal. But it had to be the right dosage; not enough hormones and I had a lot of break-through bleeding. Every body is different, but I would take a pregnancy test just to check. Then call the doctor and let him know you are still having pain throughout the month. It could be endometriosis (which pregnancy can worsen or alleviate) or chronic cysts. He should want to look into it more.
