I have 2 bi-racial girls one 13 and one 14 months. I am just looking to see how often you wash your kids hair? I usually do 3 times a week and it has been okay so far. I have tried many different lines of products. just for me,pink oil, I decided i couldn't find the right products in a salon so i ordered curly Q's line to try for my baby.I hope this line is good i am so tired of wasteing money.

What can I do next?

What you are doing is fine if it is working for you. Everyone is different. Some people have dry skin and wash less often, others have oily skin and wash more often. Please remember that whether bi-racial, black, white, or whatever, we are all individuals. I am saying that before you get responses saying to do a specific thing for bi-racial children in particular. I wish that I could put up a sign to help people with bi-racial children's hair. I see so many people with these children who don't know what to do and the poor children are looking lost even though that is obviously not the case. If what you are doing is working, God bless you.

Hello H.

My kids are bi racial and multi racial. I have bi racial grand babies. I just called my daughter get names of what she uses for my grand daughter. She has long hair and is 5 years old.

She washes her hair 3-4 times a week, uses Pantene shampoo and conditioner. While hair is still wet she rubs in a moisurizing creme and pats it dry before bedtime. Its called Filken Child by Silk Elements which is a silk moisturizing creme.

During the time between washings she uses a spray bottle mixed 3/4 creme and 1/4 water to spray on when fixing hair.

hi my daughter is 5 and 1/2. her hair is out of control or was. I wash her hair once every week and a half to two weeks. Ive been using Soft Carson Sheen Optinuim (sp?) oil therapy on her hair and it has worked so well. Ive tried everything. Pink oil wasnt enough for her hair. I am a member of an inter-racial families board on babycenter.com and there are women on there who swear by Curly Q's. For me its too expensive. they show the pictures of thier children's hair before and after using it but ive noticed the soft carson sheen has worked just as well if not better for my daughters hair and its a third less of the price.

My daughter is 18-months old and per my MIL's advice I wash her hair once a week (it seems to work for me). Her hair tends to get dry so I moisturize it everyday using Just For Me. It adds just the right amount of moisture without making it greasy and defines her curls beautifully!
