Anyone Have UGG Boots? How to Care for Them?

My husband just bought me some UGG's while on vacation, I wanted to bring the box on the plane back, but ended up dumping it at the last minute with the care instructions still inside. How do I clean them? They are the darker brown tall ones so dirt and salt shows up quite well. I am afraid to spot clean them, afraid I may cause discoloration to them.

What can I do next?

I would go to Nordstrom and buy some Ugg leather protector. You could also ask the sales person how to care for them; when I bought mine the guy was really knowledgeable and provided several helpful tips on how to best care for my boots. Good luck!

I can't offer any more advice to the already good responses, but wanted to pass along some info I just read from a podiatrist. He said that UGG's are bad for your feet. Because they have no arch support, they can cause heel spurs. He recommended slipping in an arch support to help, but that kind of defeats the purpose of why most wear them. Also, because they are so warm, many people wear them without socks. This can lead to fungus growth because of the length of time they are worn, unlike slippers. I'm not a fan of UGG boots, but I really like the UGG Tasman, more of a slip on.

I ordered the care products from ugg on line. They have kits with various products as well as individual products. I'm sure you know that they really don't perform well in very wet snow/weather, but are great for the cold. I have several pair and love them.
I also ordered new sole inserts when I ordered the weather protectants.

You need to treat them with a leather spray before you wear them any more.... the salt may not come off if the suede hasn't been treated.

Get a good leather treatment spray, and a suede cleaner. Find somewhere that sells Uggs and get stuff from them.

go to a leather store such as Wilson's and get a suede cleaner and the leather protecter to spray on after you have cleaned them.
