Anybody Have a Sleep Number Bed?

I am so tired of waking up in the morning with a stiff, sore neck! I'm interested in a Sleep Number bed and am wondering how well it really work. Of course, the commercials have all positive things to say, but I'm curious how you like it after having it for a couple years. Does it wear well, is it still comfortable? Would you buy another one or recommend it to your mother? I know they're expensive, but I'm pretty desparate, so tell me the truth, good and bad.
Thanks.

I have had one for about 15 years now. (use to work for them when they first opened and got it at a heck of a deal.) I love it love it love it and would never buy another kind. I would definately make sure to get the pillow top (it's worth the few extra bucks) and do use a matress pad with it as the tops are not washable.
Worth every penny!

Hi S.. My husband and I have had our sleep number bed for approximately 7 years now and we ADORE it. We have moved twice with it. Have the dog lay on it...and the kids...and it has done amazingly well. I have Multiple Sclerosis and so, it is really nice to have the softness and hardness flexible to my pain needs...and not have my husband affected by it either. We have the top of the end model with the pillow top and the cordless remotes. I can't say enough about it!! Highly highly recommended.

I am a mom of 4 and was waking up so stiff that I couldn't move my neck or head and loss all feeling in my arm and hand. After going to the chiropractor, one of my husbands cousins reccomended a sleep number bed. I happened to be flipping channels and found it on QVC as their deal of the day! we have been sleeping on it now for about 5 years and I will never get or sleep on anything else! I have no neck pain and very limited pain in my arms and hands. I also have 3 herniated disks caused by having too many babies too close together and I am basically pain free due to the sleep number. I love it and it is worth every penny!!!

We love ours. They do send out friends and family coupons occasionally, so someone you know might have one - my friend gave me one for 300.00 when we bought ours. Also, look for the area closest to you with the lowest sales tax..it will save you big!

We had a problem with one side of the bed not working a few months after we purchased ours. They sent me a new pump immediately and a pick up slip for the defective one.

Good luck!

Very definitely worth the money. We've had ours for 5 years and it seems like new. I have fibromyalgia and the bed really helps. Also I used to feel it when my husband tossed and turned on our regular mattress but don't notice it on the Sleep Number bed. Just don't cheap out on the pillow topper!

YES, YES, YES!!!! GREATEST BED YOU COULD EVER BUY!!!
My husband and I got a sleep number from a friend of ours who was moving and could not take it with her. We just love it! It is so much better than any regular mattress. You set the hardness/softness you want. We have only had it a year but she had it a few years before. Brand new they have a 10 year guarantee. There is a store in Lake in the Hills so you can check them out. They come in all different prices but I recommend not getting the cheapest. Also to get the extra pad and to get there mattress cover. The mattress is very thick and it will be hard to find a mattress cover that fits in a store like Wal-mart.
The mattress aside, have you ever tried using a "Buckwheat Hull Pillow"? They are great!! My husband and son also use them. This website will give you information on them but you can buy them off of e-bay for a lot less. It may sound like a funny pillow but it contours to your head and neck.
