Any Ideas of What to Do with Leftover Burgers??

I need some ideas. I have three leftover burgers...not enough to feed the family and I don't want to throw them away. I can't really use them like ground beef because the burgers are already cooked and the meat is in a solid piece. The family won't eat re-heated burgers. Any ideas because I hate tossing leftovers...so wasteful!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I was able to crumble them up and make tacos. I was shocked at how yummy and tender the meat was with a little olive oil and taco seasoning. And there was enough for everyone. I will definitely be doing that again!

Taco's, chili, spagetti with meat sauce, you can always crumble them up and cook them again with a little olive oil to loosen the meat. I do it at home, and it's fine. No one knows the difference.

Meatloaf sandiches!! Put some ketchup on them (or brown sugar and ketchup) and heat them and put them between a bun or sandwich bread.

You could just cut them up and put with spaghetti sauce.

You could serve them with brown or mushroom gravy, with mashed potatoes and green beans or peas? How much do 3 patties weigh? Is it a pound? If so, then you can crumble them up and put them in a pot with a can of rotels, a can of stewed or diced tomatoes, a can of ranch style beans (or chili beans), some corn, some chopped onion, a packet of taco seasons, a packet of the dry ranch seasoning, and heat it up as taco soup (served with corn chips and cheese)......or crumble it up and make a form of dirty rice-either a box of Zatarain's dirty rice, or make your own version with onion, bellpepper, garlic, maybe a little diced celery if you have it, some rotels, some rice, put it all together and serve that way?

Chop up the burgers and use them in a taco or burger roll:

Using croissant dough, lay the dough out alternating the direction of the points. Then ad cheese (any kind you like is fine....if you ad taco seasoning you can add cheddar, if you ad A-1 you can use just about anything), then wrap the crossaint dough over the top and bake until golden. You can do the same with any left over meet and you can add vegetables to any of it (Ham, brocolli, and cheddar is good).

Crumble them up, toss them with taco sauce, and layer them over tortilla chips with cheese, sour cream, etc. for nachos.

I was going to say nachos. Throw some tortilla chips on a plate, pour on melted cheese and sprinkle w/the crumbled up meat. Top w/preferred topping (tomatoes, sour cream, etc)

Freeze them until you have enough for the whole family, I take Golden Mushroom Soup, slice up onions and add extra mushrooms put it all in pan with the burgers and let them simmer until the burgers are tender then I throw in noodles it is the best thing in the world LOL. Or you can just fry up a few more burgers then throw in the other ones and the rest of the ingredients it is soooooo yummy.

3 burgers? I would warm it up - then break it up and either spread it over pizza or add to spaghetti.....or even mac and cheese!

I like the Chili idea, if it's not too hot to eat chili.

Or taco soup - the recipe April suggested, to crumble up the meat from the burger, add a can of Rotel, a can of tomatoes, a can of Ranch Style beans, corn, inion, taco seasoning, dry Ranch dressing packet, chicken broth. Top with cheese and serve with chips. If you made it less soupy (probably add less seasoning) then you could have yourself some nacho dip as an appetizer.

Or mash up your burger, put it in the crock pot with velveeta, rotel, and milk, and you have queso.

You can stretch them out by adding them to beans, then either making chili, nachos or burritos! Just break apart the meat, nobody will even notice.

I was going say to make a pot of chili, but it looks like someone beat me to it! ha! ha! Funny story, sort of, I have heard the reason Wendy's Restaurant serves chili, is because Dave Thomas didn't like wasting hamburger patties that were left over at the end of the day.

I like the nachos idea, or crumble it up and add pasta, tomatoes, asparagus, pasta sauce like a stir fry or a weird pasta dish ;)

I make stuff up all the time ;) We don't waste at our house!

Crumble them up, and mix into some scrambled eggs, while you are cooking the eggs. YUMMY, especially for kids!

Cut them up, warm in a saucepan with pasta sauce, and pour over pasta.

Instead of pasta sauce:
You can also sautee some diced onions/garlic and peppers, add diced/grated/processed/canned tomatoes, and cook until the tomatoes are done. Add the chopped burgers a couple minutes before the tomatoes are cooked.

I have to laugh. Just a few weeks ago I had to cook all of the burgers in my freezer! Make tacos! Add a little water to the pan and cumble up the meat. McCormack's makes a great taco seasoning in a packet. Little cheese, little lettuce, little tomato, little sour cream, little avacado, it will stretch out that meat so that all of you can have tacos! Make some rice for the side...so yummy! You get veggies and all ....without even thinking about it.
