Jewelry is always nice. Something personal, like a birthstone pendant or earrings or a charm of some activity she likes. If she has an ipod or iphone, and itunes card is nice too. If she is a typical 18 year old girl, a gift card to her favorite clothing store would be perfect. If she is heading out on her own soon, things like a coffee maker or a sandwich press are nice for a dorm or apartment. An electric fondue set is fun for chocolate and cheese and I can just imagine a bunch of giggling 18 year old girls making fondue and having a good time talking about boys;) Anyway, think fun and unexpected.

Is she a high school or college student? You could get her a sweatshirt or jewelry or gift card from the college she is planning to or does attend. Gift certificate for a salon (she can get her hair or nails done). Does she play any sports or hobbies? You can get her supplies that she needs.

Clothes may be a good choice if you know her style or gift cards for the store where she likes to shop. Movie gift certificates.

I get that she is turning 18 so you may want it to more special than a gift certificate so jewelry may be a good option even if you don't get it from the college.

Is there a concert coming up that she would like to go see?

if she is going to move out soon something for her house. normal stuff pots and pans , towels, sheets, sheetswould be good cause she can use them on the bed she has now. blankets. anything along that line

Lottery Tickets like scratchers cuz she is legal now!!! if you get her a long strip of one kind her odds of winning something will dramatically increase. MY inlaws used to do this for christmas. Somebody would at lease win $50 or something.
