That is priceless!! Thanks for posting, this is great. Since I am 45 I love it even more. Love that last paragraph too....
I grew up watching Andy Rooney on 60 minutes with my dad. I was sad to see him pass away recently, but doggone it, the guy loved his work and did it almost until the day he died (he retired one month before).
I came across this old Andy blog about women over 40 and thought I'd share because he's just so spot on!
If you're over 40, do you agree with Andy? The last paragraph really made me laugh; talk about turning the tables on an old cliche!!

Foiled by Snopes! Well, I still like the sentiments, anyway :)

Awesome! Thanks for sharing!!! :)
I could've sworn i saw him do this on tv and almost shot iced tea through my nose. And I whole heartedly agree
I am 41 and I resemble those remarks! Love it!
Amen Sista! Thanks for posting how true this is...and such a good point!
.
That is so true, I am 41.
He will be missed.
It's sweet, but Andy Rooney didn't write it (and isn't particularly pleased with the writing, either). It was written by someone named Frank Kaiser. Giving credit where credit is due.
You've completely made my day, Lee Lee. I'll admit it, I love Andy Rooney. Heck, he's a curmudgeon, (and so am I) but a benevolent, funny one. In fact, I think reading so many of his books as a kid might have rubbed off on me.
And I think he's spot-on regarding women over forty. At least, he seems on target with those women that I know and hang out with. I'm 41, and with the exception of a few great ladies in my life, all of my friends are forty or better!
Yip, I'll be 43 in March 2012 and I do agree with Andy Rooney! Strangely enough, despite being overweight due to chronic meds I have to take for chronic pain, I'm more comfortable in my skin than ever before! I'm blessed to have an amazing husband who shows me daily that he not only loves me but still finds me attractive too. :)

Oooops, only noticed after I posted that the quote is not from Andy Rooney. Nevertheless - irrespective of the author - I still think it is spot on! :)
Good stuff. Thanks for the laugh!
I have been using the pig sausage analogy for years.
Snopes or otherwise it still sounds like something Andy Rooney would say.
I don't think it is every woman over forty just as the guy described is not every man over forty. Still I do think we hit an age where the game is over, you value your own opinion more than others.
