So What Happened?

Thank you for your opinions, I am going to try it...I only need to lose about 13 lb. My weight right now is 127, and my ideal weight is 115, I am 5.3" so I’m not tall.
Also I was fine last year doing exercises and eating very healthy until the holidays, and this year I just feel that I don't have the patience to do it all over again. Just dieting and exercising takes longer, if those pills are going to help lose the weight faster, I want to try.

The exercises I follow is turbo jam, which I think they are great. It helps you sweat more than just running, walking or swimming. It is true that sometimes you do need a partner to push each other. My husband does not like to exercise and our schedule is not very helpful. Water for me is not very tasty, but I am trying.
Thank you so much to all of you, and I let you all know what happens in a few months.

I have a friend that has lost 25 pounds since July. She said that losing weight slowly is better because they say that way it will stay off. I'm going to try them when I get the $50, must budget that much in.

Hi G.,

i used ALLI for 3 months and it worked great. i lost 20 pounds. i researched the FDA website and found nothing about a recall or that it can cause colon cancer. Also when i told my dr i was taking it he said it is one of the better weight loss aids you can take because it is never absorded into the blood stream, the medication simply breaks down with the food and binds about 25% of the fat intake from that meal and your body gets rid of it with you BM.

G. - I'm reading all the response posts and I keep hearing the same thing - "If you follow the strict diet and don't eat too much fat you can be successful taking the Alli pill". Why do you need a pill to follow a stict diet and watch your fat intake? In order to maintain weight loss, you will have to change your eating habits anyway. That money is better spent on healthier food for your cabinet!

I haven't taken Alli; however, I did take Xenicol. Xenicol is the prescription strength of Alli and it did work for me. It does help you lose more weight than if you weren't taking it. If you do decide to try it, just be sure you watch your fat intake. Eating foods high in fat while taking the pills will do a number on your stomach.

I took Alli for about 3 months and I only lost 10 pounds. You have to watch what you eat and take a multi vitamin for it to work well. My husband has lost just about 20 pounds, but he’s been on it for about 7 months now. He's going to finish out the rest of the bottle and stop taking it. I'm not sure how much weight you want to loose, but if its around 30+ pounds let me know and I can give you some information that I just recently receive from a mediloss clinic. I have been seeing them for almost a month now and I have lost 23 pounds =) If your interested let me know. If you do decided to start the Alli program, Good Luck!! =D

I have not, but a lady in my office has been on it for a few weeks and I have already noticed a difference in her :) She seems happy with it! You are not allowed to eat fatty foods while on the medication because she said it will give you diarrhea...It definitely forces you to eat healthy!

Personally, I would avoid Alli. It is a lesser dose than the perscription Zinical (not sure of the exact spelling). Zinical was taken off the market because it was causing colon cancer. I was really frustrated when I saw that the FDA now allows it over the counter. The side effects are also pretty gross too.

Hi. I am now currently using the alli weight loss capsules. I have been using them since Jan 1. So far I have lost 10 lbs.

As long as you watch your fat intake I have noticed that I do not have the side effects. I am doing the 1400 cal and 15 grams of fat. At first it was a little hard to be able to keep my calories up at 1400, but as long as you read the labels carefully there are all kinds of foods to eat that are satisfying and filling. It is the only one that I have stuck with. You also need to get into the habit of writing everything done that you eat. That has helped me alot.

I really like this product as it does not make you jittery or any of the other side effects like some diet aids. Also the fact that this is the only one that is FDA approved. It may seem a little expensive, but I think it is well worth it. If you have any questions, please email me.

Good Luck

I am no longer taking alli, simply because I can't afford it, but it worked great for me. As long as you stick to the strict diet and don't go over your fat intake. I was on it for 5 months and in that time I lost 45lbs!!! I wish I could still afford but oh well!

Hello, I have used Alli. My mother had purchased the sysytem , but did not use it so I figuered I would try it.
I did not follow it very well at all. I pretty much ate what I wanted and took one of the capsules with my meals. That was fine for the 1st week until I noticed some "changes" in my stool. I do not want to get too graphic, but I will say if you are eating whatever you want; be prepared! You will have accidents...Just think of it this way, your body cant hold in pure fat, which is the consistency if grease. Needless to to say I do not take those anymore. I just wanted to drop a few lbs so...
I eat smaller portions and try to choose better options. Like at Mcdonald I get a grilled chicken sandwich w/ no mayo. I eat on the chicken. It is really very simple. Just make better choices and try to get more active. Even if that consist of cleaning the house, taking the stairs, or parking a little further away. YOU CAN DO IT!
I have struggled with my weight before. SO I know how tough it is. I refuse to ever get like that again.
Good Luck!
