I can't say that I have, but I just ran out and bought it after reading this. I have been way off track with my eating lately. I think this might be a good way to make myself get backk in the game.

Has anyone tried Alli diet pills?

it will do to my body.
I take enough meds as it is.
I am not slim about average or what the average American woman is these days ,size 11/12, size large shirt, 36 bust.
I notice if I walk and drink water all day I will lose weight.
Another way I lost weight after I had my twins now this is a weird one.
But I would eat a couple hot peppers at night with some cheese as my snack and drink tons of water, I lost 15 lbs in little or no time and never put it back on.
Hot peppers r suppose to speed up your metabolism as is salsa. Which I love!
Go to google and put in food that speed up metabolism and start eating some of those foods in the morning , as a snack and one before you go to bed.
Good luck.
No, but I'm glad you asked...I hopw some people respond. I saw it at Wal-Mart the other day.
Hey A..
I have been on them since Saturday. I hadn't had any treatment effects until this morning. I think I am down like 4-5 lbs. I only had treatment effects because of the brownie I thought was within my fat range wasn't. I didn't calculate enough fat grams for it. I definately learned my lesson. Other than that I like it. Seems to be working.

I was also curious about this so called "miracle drug", so i looked it up on the internet which i recommend you do as well. Supposedly, it is the same drug that the fda originally did not approve, only now they cut the dosage in half and renamed it "alli". It has some pretty disturbing side effects, with little results. I am definitely reconsidering spending my hard earned money on this product.
I read in my Redbook magazine yesterday that Alli is a lower dose of the former prescription drug Xenical which was did help people lose weight but caused severe GI problems like awful diarrhea and inability to hold stools when too much fat was consumed. The article said that Alli is a low enough dose that it shouldn't cause the same problems (at least to that extent) as the Xenical. The article said that for two people who exercise and eat right the person taking Alli should lose 50% more weight (10lbs vs 15lbs). I think the biggest thing though no matter what method you use is to exercise and eat right.
Hi,
I took Alli years ago when it was prescription only ...Xenical. The premise is a great idea. You definitely learn which foods are fat-laden, and maybe not even to the extent of 'laden'. Sometimes just the slightest amount of fat was enough to cause the unwanted side effects. It works like a 'learned response'...if you eat something with fat, you will PAY! You will soil your clothes and have to go change, unless you keep a pad on at all times. I'm not totally convinced the best and only way to losing weight is through a low fat diet, and in the case of the prescription strength Xenical...it had to be NO fat diet. Low fat is smart...so is low sugar, low 'bad' carbs... Think about the health benefits of almonds, or choosing olive oil and vinegar for a sandwich or salad, or how about fish oil? I'm much more interested in the new drug approved already in Europe and awaiting approval here made by Sanofi. In the meantime...I won't be buying Alli. I would rather change my diet and exercise more than to continually be changing clothes or wearing a perpetual pad. The over-the-counter strength Alli may not cause as severe side effects as the Rx Xenical...but, I'm not interested in learning. Xenical couldn't claim significant long-term weight loss either. Hope this information helps. I don't want to dissuade you either way. I knew several people on Xenical with similar experiences as mine, (I was a drug rep and knew the rep responsible for this drug, plus many physicians who personally tried it) and actually some very much worse, which caused a very embarassing scene with one couple in a public place. Maybe the OTC Alli will have less side effects, which also means less efficacy. ??
I have not tried it, but I read several blogs on Weight Watchers site and they said the side effects were terrible. They went into disgusting detail, which I won't, but it was enough to make me never want to try it. Everyone is different though...
I have started taking Alli about 2 weeks ago. I have not had any of the side effects. I have noticed that you have to make choice about your food. If you no one of the side effects is unpleasant. Then your not going to eat something will a lot of fat in it. What I have noticed you look at food at a different way. If you have any more questions just email me.
I did and I highly recommend that you DON"T try them unless you plan to banish all traces of fat from your diet because the side effects are really unpleasant!
