Have you had him tested to know what he is specifically allergic to?

If he is allergic to pollens, than I highly recommend you start feeding him LOCAL honies. Buy them at farmers markets, outdoor markets, whole food stores that stock local items. Rotate the honey kinds with each purchase and use. Relief from eating local honey takes about 6 months for one's body to build up an immunity and reduce allergic symptoms. By ingesting the honey you introduce it into your blood stream, which is then carried to the bone marrow and to your immune system.

Take large amount of vitamin C, which is water soluble and you will pee out what your body does not need.

He is also old enough to take OTC products like claritin to help calm his immune response down. Try for 5-7 days so he can have a break from the itchy, watery eyes.

Check out Fruitful Yield on Golf Road, west of Roselle. They have wonderful natural products and are very knowledgeable. You can go a herbal/vitamin route like bromelain/quercetin and vitamin C, or a homeopathic route which are little "pills" you put under your tongue. If you know what he's allergic to they have drops you can put under his tongue that help build his immunity to that thing.

Have you checked what he's allergic to? He could be allergic to something like dust mites and then he could benefit a lot from mattress and pillow encasings. Also, check and see what his bedding is made of, he could be allergic to that too. It's really hard to pinpoint a treatment without knowing what he's allergic to.

Yes as long as you have an idea as to what he is allergic too. Go to either a Whole foods, Vitamin shop , health food store then you can look at what is available. Good Luck!
