Hi everyone! My husband is auditioning for the "Who wants to be a Millionaire show this Wednesday. He is a VERY smart guy and tends to remember tons of trivia. I have a couple of questions for people who watch the show alot and/or for people who have auditioned for it.
1) Any tips for how he should act in the interview? Are they looking for a certain type of personality?
2) What do you think our chances are for him to get on the show?
3) What should he study to pass the quiz they give when he gets there?

Thanks ladies...boy oh boy could we use a million bucks....or even a few thousand! LOL!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Hi ladies. Just wanted to let you know my DH went, there were 150 or so people there. He passed the written test, along with only about 15 others. Then he got a producer interview and then he was asked to do an on camera interview - he was the only one there who was asked to do that! So we'll see what happens...I don't want to wish too hard because I know it is still not certain that he'll get on the show...

Oh my brother was on this show, and he won the fastest finger first thing to get into the hot seat! I was one of his phone a friends. My dad was his other one. He had difficulty getting people to do this as no one wanted to let him down by giving him a wrong answer. In the end he won a lot of money and chose to call my dad for assistance. Luckily he was a smart guy and gave my brother the right answer. Your hubby should just be himself. I don't know if you can really study for these things as they're such random topics. Good luck!

They don't interview you...he will wait outside before the show and a crew walks around and looks at people....they get inside and are given a test...the producer comes out and tells you what to expect - he will be there for 3 to 4 hours...

In the middle of the show, they will take the tests back...at the end of the show they will call the people from the audience who "passed" the test and they will talk to you then....

He should "ACT" or be himself...any phoniness and they will turn their nose...they like excited people but not HD excited..

It's a general knowledge test...Presidents, history, current events...it changes all the time..it's not the same test...

All depends upon how he looks on camera, how well, he does on the test and what the producers "eye" on him during taping....

GOOD LUCK!!

I just auditioned. I was given a time to show up. He will be given a multiple choice test consisting of 30 questions. He will have 10 minutes to answer the questions. It's difficult to study for, he just has to use his general knowledge. Then the test gets scored immediately. Only those people with top scores go on to the interview stage. All in all, I was there for about 45 minutes (I didn't make it to the interview part). But I did get a free t-shirt!
