Should I Hold Back on Kindergarten a Year or Not?
My son will be 5 this week and have him set up to start kindergarten in August. I just have been having this nagging feeling like I should not start him this year. Let me explain- I feel he is ready educationally but I am just having the thought that he is just socially immature. I just don't know how much that will affect him. He has a tendency to be a mature sounding child around adults yet when around his peers he tends to march to his own drum and would rather look in the bushes for bugs (which he knows too much about!) than play soccer...
