Bottle Feeding an Infant

Does anyone have any suggestions about getting an infant to take a bottle? My husband and I have been working with our newborn (twelve weeks old) for about 8 weeks now and she still won't take a bottle. She is a super light eater to begin with. She only nurses for a total of 9 or 10 minutes despite trying all sorts of things. We are trying to get her on a bottle so we can monitor the amount she's getting (we'd like her to gain more weight). Language and Speech Development

My Mom was tellng me that my 17 month old daughter which she will turn on Sunday 10/22 should have been saying words about 5 months ago and the doctor says she's doing fine can anybody tell me how old your baby was when they started or what you think is the right age and my daughter does say a couple of words. I just don't know why my Mom is thinkimg that she is ready now cause don't they go at their own pace like crawing and walking.

Speech Therapy Resource Referral

My 2 1/2 year old boy's pediatrician recommended that we do speech therapy for him. He has the words but cannot put a sentence together. I would appreciate if anyone can suggest any DVD, books or other materials that can used at home for speech development. Right now, we cannot afford expensive therapy and also the therapists are farther away and we have just 1 car!! Thanks so much for your help.

Preemie Scooting Around in Crib

my baby is about 36 weeks gestational. last night i found him to have scooted out of his swaddled blanket and scooted to the edge of the crib. of course there is no bumper around the crib but is there ANY way to help prevent him from moving all around in his crib??? help!
