South Beach Diet?

anyone have experience with south beach diet? I really mean Phase 1. I just have a few pounds to lose. I already work out 5-6 days a week am eat sensibly. However I find that I easily pack on pounds if I eat too many high-glycemic foods which I've been doing lately. That's why SBD attracts me a lot.
