My son often gets runny nose/cough symptoms and my pediatrician has recommended that I try putting him on Claritin to manage those symptoms. I am reluctant to put him on medicine for prolonged periods of time. Dose anyone have information about any potential harmful effects of long-term use of allergy medicines in toddlers? Hi. My 7 year old son is in the first grade. He is very very smart sometimes too smart. The problem we are having at home and he is having the same problem at school that when he is given work he unable to organize himself so that he can complete it.
