How Much Do You Spend on Party Favors?

my daugher's party is next week. I'm not into giving away too much candy anyway, but esp. as it's Easter w/end. I like to give things that people will use, not just throw out b/c it's junk. How much do you usually spend per kid? I'm having about 50 kids, and usually spend $2 per child, but $100 seems like a lot. Granted, she will be getting a ton of gifts in exchange! thanks

Baby Shower Ideas

I am looking for any ideas in regards to Baby Showers. I will be throwing my first in a couple of months. Does anyone have any suggestions in regards to games, favors, decor, etc. The baby is due December 12th, should I do something in the beginning of November or would the end of October be better? Do you think a house shower is better than an banquet hall/restaurant? Will be 40-50ppl. Thanks in advance.

Birthday Party Dilema!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay so my husband just joined the Army last Feb. and we will be at our new duty station (Hawaii) on my daughters first birthday! And we are really close to our families and so we want to throw her an early birthday party so we can share that with her family (a 10 month old birthday party). Anyone got ideas of what we can do? Ladies I need some help. I am throughing my first ever baby shower for a friend of mine and I am not sure what is expected at a shower. I was in the hospital on bed rest for mine so I cant really use that so I am stuck! Any game ideas? Do you feed people actual food or just snacks and what type of food or snacks? Any help or good ideas would be greatly appreciated. Also if I am throughing the shower what is a good basis to by a gift on? Do I spend the same amount I would have if I did not through it?
