technically they would be canibals, to be a zombie one must be dead first. Also, stuff like this has always happened, we have had several documented cases of canibals in the US alone, not to mention the rest of our planet. Rest assured a few canibals will not end the earth.
I actually find it really disturbing, that people are getting giggles from humans eating each other. (I'm not really speaking to you directly, just in general terms.) I know we have to find humor in difficult situations, but seriously...people are eating each other. I just can't find any part of that funny. I bet the victims and their families don't.
I heard about it last week and used it as another opportunity to talk to my 14 year old son about drugs and why he should not do them. He had never heard of doing bath salts, which surprised me since I hear my high school students talk about it sometimes. He couldn't believe how stupid people are sometimes, and I was pleased by his reaction. We also talked about how awful it was for the victim and his family. So tragic.
Hollywood has made a killing with these movies....and the science behind them is terrifying. It makes a normal person worry it could happen. Darn you!
It doesn't help that I'm a vivid dreamer and know I have weak survival skills. I'm moving North and buying a goat!

It is not funny at all. I agree with Bug. If it was you or your family who is being chewed, you won't make fun of it. I can't imagine how painful it is for the Miami victim.
Only stupid people who will use the bath salt, but they might be drugged as well. For me, drug seller and chemist is really bad. Beside child molester, they should be sentenced to death. No excuse. What they did ruin many families and life. Period.
Have you heard what the actually put in bath salts? UGH! Why anyone would put things like comet, house cleaners purposefully in their body is beyond me!
I will be showing my son these videos when he becomes a teen, so he knows NEVER to do drugs or this is what could happen!!! I'm sure he doesn't find pleasure in eating humans. That way, it will be embedded in his head what could happen if he does drugs!
