Thank you all so much for your suggestions. I have tried BeautiControl and Mary Kay, and the products are good, but I still got the occasional break out. I am on a quest for the products that will be right for my skin and have a couple of things to go on from you guys. Thanks again!

Mary Kay Timewise has a formula for combination and oily skin. Adding the day & night solutions would be a great idea too. This is what I have used for years. I do sell Mary Kay but basically only to my mom and a few friends to get my stuff at a discount so if you know a consultant you can contact her if not feel free to send me an e-mail and I can get you some samples to try.

Hi T.,
My favorites are either Mary Kay or Arbonne. Mary Kay is a little cheaper and both are excellent products. You will have to locate a representative, but that is really easy. Just go to either website and they can help you find someone close to where you live.

If you can stand one more I have to recommend Juice Beauty.
It can be found at Sophora's at North East Mall, North Park Mall and The Galleria.
I have tried almost all the ones listed below and for the price and effectiveness this one wins in my book!

Hi T.,
I am a 44 year old with oily skin and large pores. I feel like I tried EVERYTHING for my oily skin and chin acne! Some stuff would only work for a short time then I was back to square one again. I ended up using this skin regimen that's cheap and works for me. I wash my face with a gentle face soap, Neutrogena is what I use. Don't use anything that's for oily or for acne prone skin. I have found that this makes the skin produce more oil. Also I have been using a Retinol cream instead of a face lotion at night. There are different brands. I have tried both Neutrogena and an off brand at CVS and have found the off brand to works better for half the cost! I can see a big difference and has smoothed out my skin alot and makes it more balanced in color. It's great for helping small wrinkles and prevents them too. I also use a VERY light coat of 10% Benzoyl peroxide on my problem areas. Again I use the "off" brand that I found at Walmart. I never rub very hard when applying the Benzoyl peroxide and I don't try and open my pores with moving my face around to stretch the area. Make sure you wash your hands after using it. You don't want to put it anywhere else but where you need it. It can be drying at first, and you might need to skip and go every other day for a while. Also always use products that will not clog pores. All of this has really made a huge difference in my wrinkles, large pores, oil production, acne and has smoothed out my skin texture and balanced out my skin color. Good news for us "oily" skinned people. We wrinkle a lot less than most. The downside is our pores tend to enlarge with age. I hope this helps in some way. I know for me it's been a journey finding the right stuff to use without falling into the many sale "traps" for skin care.
God's best,
C. ")

I use Skinlogics Plathium Plus by Beautycontrol. I have used lots of brands over the years, but my face has never been so soft and yet not oily. I also like the fact that this brand is high-end QUALITY, yet reasonably priced. Also, it is MADE in the USA!
I have had to be VERY careful of brands and ingredients due to my health issues. I can get a sample for you so you won't have to invest alot of money. Try it and see what you think.
Good Luck,
K. T.

I just went back to Mary Kay after trying everything in the book. Their TimeWise works for my oily, starting to wrinkle skin really well. I was starting to get really bad breakouts again and those are under control! It is also way more affordable than many of the other products. Good luck whatever you try!

I have a different one to add. Oil of Olay Total Effects seven in one cleanser and moisturizer with salicylic acid. I love it. They are available at the store, so you don't have to order. Also, the cleanser is about 7.00 and the moisturizer is about 17.00. You may also want to make sure your foundation isn't causing extra problems. I use Revlon 16 hour mineral poweder.

Hello T.!
I have a skin care, health and wellness company.
We have a few different skin care lines. We have an awesome anti-aging line to help take care of the wrinkles. This is the line I use every day. And we have an excellent product for oily skin.
All of our products are botanically based, ph correct, dermatologist tested, hypoallergenic, no animal products or by-products (vegan and vegetarian certified), never tested on animals and contain no mineral oil.
I'd love to get together with you sometime and tell you more about the products and also give you a facial so you can try some of the products.
Take care and God bless.

HI T....
I used to have adult cyctic acne for about 10 yrs. I have tried everything, including Proactiv, Retin-a, internal drugs, external meds, all the cosmetics stuff from just about every company mentioned below, but I found my saving grace through the Zap-It line at Melaleuca. I am now 99.9% acne-free. I rarely put on make-up unless going to church or some place like that. I get compliments on my skin now, which I thought would never happen. I also use the Nicole Miller line of cosmetics from this same company, and they are the best I have every used, plus they are LESS expensive than the other companies too. And she does have patented anti-aging products as well. These are all green products without the caustic chemicals. They use naturally derived ingredients that are RX grade. They have changed my life and I can get ready so fast now. Cannot tell you how much money I save, and I can order it directly at wholesale pricing without going through a distributor. I found that once I stopped using all the chemicals on my skin, everything from the detergents in my clothes and towels to my skin care, I solved the problem at the source. If you would like to know more, feel free to email me directly. I can show you how to get this stuff wholesale for yourself. Best part is they make everything else for the home healthy too. :)Blessings to you in your search.

I have normal but sometimes oily skin and I have used Clinique since I was about 11 or 12. I am 47 and easily pass for early 30's.
I love the Repairwear series for Clinique. My 13 yr old uses Clinique as well. She told me she wants her face to be a good, clear and nice as mine when she gets my age so she can fool everyone with her age.
As for a dermatologist....Dr. Allen Menter and his staff at Baylor are FANTASTIC and worth the drive. We took a proactive approach for my daughter when she hit puberty around 11 to nip any issues before they hit. It has worked so far.
Good luck.

My recommendation is Mary Kay (and I don't sell it, so I'm not looking to make a profit or anything, LOL). Their big advantages are 1) Anything you don't like, or that doesn't work for you, you can return and get your money back. 2) You get a consultant who can take the time to see what your specific needs are, and adjust your products accordingly. I've suffered over the years from adult-onset acne, and Mary Kay is all I use. The time-wise products are great, and the night solution seems to help keep me from getting break outs.
Good luck!

Good morning, T.,
Mary Kay has an excellent moisturizer called Oil-Free Hydrating Gel. I use this in the summer when my skin is oilier. They have a whole line of oil-free products.
I'm sure you know someone who uses Mary Kay products who can refer you to her rep. One of the many great things about Mary Kay is that you can try the products before you buy them. Another good thing about Mary Kay is that they are not tested on animals and they are hypoallergenic.
Good luck.

Hey T.,
I am a Mary Kay consultant and the Timewise miracle set for combination/oily skin is just what you're looking for. I know this because it's the whole reason I sell the product. Your reasons were the same things I needed in skin care, myself. If you decide to go this route, you can order it online and the consultant nearest you will send it your way. Just go to marykay.com. If the product doesn't work, you can return it for your money back, so it's worth a shot!

I have had moderate acne for YEARS. Accutane didn't even totally get rid of it. However... A friend of mine started selling Arbonne and I tried the Re9 line and it is fabulous. It has kept my cystic acne as well as the hormonal breakouts at bay.
The line is a little pricey but the products last forever. It's well worth it as it gives me a beautifully smooth skin that is acne free!
Good Luck!

Beauticontrol is a wonderful company that offers a skincare line that is simply amazing!!!! The skincare is based on your skin's age rather than if it's oily, dry, combo, etc ... for example, I am 26, but I use the 30's because my face is a little bit dry. I have tried everything under the sun (Clinique, Arbonne, Wal-Mart stuff, etc, etc, etc) ... nothing has had the results until I used BeautiControl. I became a consultant to get the discount, and have become a product junkie ever since. If you would like for me to do a skincare profile on you, I would LOVE to! You can e-mail me at ____@____.com or check out my website at www.beautipage.com/loridreher I look forward to hearing from you!
