I have a similar situation and I will only use one kind. Hope in a Jar by Philosophy ( get the one for all skin types). It is amazing and I get mine at Sephora.
You will love it! It feels like water when you put it on.
Good luck. :)
Does anyone know of a moisturizer for oily skin? I've tried two or three and they've all clogged my pores and caused breakouts.
Now that winter has set in the dry air combined with my normal acne treatments are making my face uncomfortably dry.
Help?

My dermatologist recommended the Sense Skin Care Line since I too have very oily skin. It has been a miracle for me since I have been frustrated in the past with brands like Arbonne, Obagi, Aveda, etc to name a few. You can order the skin care from the company website at www.healthrep.usana.com and become a preferred customer to get the cheaper rate. Good luck to you!

Try this website: http://www.aloette.com
It's products made from the aloe plant. I probably used my first product about 20 yrs. ago. I love the body silk lotion. I've even considered becoming an Aloette consultant. Take a look and give it a try...GREAT PRODUCTS!
I have combination/oily skin and I find that my three favorites are the aveeno daily moisterizer for combination/oily skin(green bottle with pump)and oil of olay for combination/oily skin both worked out great. Believe it or not, i've even tried using some of my son's baby wash. (Yellow bottle) Johsnon & Johnson Baby wash it is gentle on your face and does not dry out and you can get a big bottle for cheap. Also, before you go to sleep at night, wash your face and try popping a vitamin E and massage the gel onto your face. I usually start that in the winter time since the air is so dry and my skin is so soft in the morning and it heals any red spots or acne overnight! Good luck to you!
Estee Lauder makes great moisturizers, and they have one for oily skin. I can't remember what it's called, but I use it in the winter, too. It's never caused any kind of breakout for me!
Have you tried the clean and clear for acne prone skin? It has 2% salicylic acid in it and it works great. It gives your skin a nice fresh feeling and I haven't had any trouble with breakouts when I use it. You can just get it at walmart or wherever for about $5. It is a white bottle with a purple top. Good luck!
You might like to try Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizer. It's department store - but the cost is reasonable, and it worked great for me. Also, Purpose facial cleanser and lotion from the drug store work great on a budget. Good for hormonal adult acne, too. - S.
Hi, A.!

I have oily skin and have always had a hard time finding a good moisterizer. I did finally find one that I like that doesn't clog my pores and doesn't feel gressy. It is a moisterizer by Sensaria Natural Body Care. If you would like to learn more or try it please feel free to call or email me at ###-###-####, ____@____.com .
Maybe it's not your moisturizer - maybe your cleanser is too harsh. I've had a lot of good luck cleaning my face with plain old Cetaphil. It is super-gentle and not too expensive. Although, I would try the regular cleanser rather than the sudsing cleanser (which tends to dry my face out more). Good luck - I definitely feel you with the uncomfortable dry winter skin.
I had the same problem...searched for years for a good moisturizer that wouldn't make me breakout plus I wanted one with sun protection. I finally found Olay Definity Deep Penetrating Foaming UV Moisturizer. It works wonders and you can get it at the grocery store- very convenient. More expensive than typical grocery store/drug store products, but cheaper than department store or specialty lines. Good luck!
Have you tried plain olive oil? Two drops on your finger tips and then pat your fingers around your face until it has blended in.
Yes, BeautiControl has 2 great Moisturizers for oily skin - let me know if you would like to try. B. Padgett
Try natural shea butter. It works for me but I don't use it every day, just when needed.
Clarins and Clinique work great. Do you have combo skin on your face? I do. I have a total T zone, so I only use the moisturizer on my T zone and my neck. Oil of Olay also has a special moisturizer, but I cannot remember what it is called.
The good thing about oily skin?
We are blessed to have oily skin, we will not wrinkle as fast as the ladies with dry skin.
There is a new product line that I've been using and I have seen great results. It is an intuitive system and adjusts to your skins changing needs. Visit DiscoverHealthySkin.com for more info.

Proactive's Green Tea moisturizer is great for oily or combination skin. A bit pricey though.
I have always had this problem myself. I buy Beauticontrols Skinlogics Clear (Used to be called All CLear). It leaves your skin feeling clean and light not oily at all. I never would use moisturizer because I hated the HEAVY feel it left on me. Once I tried this I won't use anything but (and no I'm not a seller of it). I'm not a big fan of makeup at all but I do wear this brand because they have alot of stuff made for normal people like us!! I hope this helps. If you need help finding someone who sells it let me know and I can help you.
I use Braggs Organic Apple Vinegar to cleanse and heal my skin. It is great for just about anything. I keep a bottle in the shower. It is a natural anti-bacterial with a perfect PH. I also use it to remove build up on my hair. I have to admit the smell is not desirable, but I follow up with Dr. Bronner's almond soap. And then I use Avalon Ultimate Moisturizer. The problem with many of the commercial products is that they are loaded with toxic petro-chemicals that get soaked into your system. The skin is the largest absorbing and eliminating organ the body has, which is why you want to protect it. I avoid triclosan, parabens, propylene glycol, EDTA, lanolin, and any synthetics. A good hint is to look for a little bunny on the back of the bottle (they have done no animal testing, because all the ingredients are already considered safe for humans. Animal testing has to be done when there is something in there that may cause harm to an animal.)Drinking at least 8 glasses a day with 1/2 tsp of sea salt, according to www.watercure.com to cleanse the body of toxins. Take a good look at what you eat, what you put into your body can also make a difference. Learning to read labels and avoiding processed, greasy foods can help with what you are eliminating. I hope this helps, I can be reached at www.mybiopro.com/claudia13. I am studying to be Naturopath.
Hey A.,
I have extremely oily skin myself and have tried everything on the market. I used to have to take off my makeup mid-day and start over because my face would be so oily. I would have to blot my oil several times a day. About 4 years ago I tried Arbonne. I would highly recommend that you try their Intelligence line. It is botanically based and actually good for you. You will be amazed at how well it works. After using the products and falling in love with them, I became a rep. So I'd be happy to send you several FREE samples. Once you use them you'll never want to use anything else. You can visit my website and send me an e-mail with your contact infor and I'll put some samples in the mail to you today.

Try coconut oil. You can put it on several times a day, whenever it feels like your skin is getting too dry.
Ponds Moisturizing cream works great!
I have the same issues and use Oil of Olay Sensitive
I had horrible skin for 20 years until I started using Proactiv. I'm not sure what acne treatment you use but theirs is good and I like their moisturizer. I also love Nutrogena's Oil Free Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin. Since I've switched to Sensitive Skin stuff, my face has been the least dry in years (I guess because there's no fragrance, etc.). I have used Mary Kay and the list goes on. The Nutrogena is by far my favorite! Hope this helps :)

Hi A.,
Have you tried the Mary Kay classic formula 3 for oily skin? The Oil Control Lotion is a moisturizer specifically formulated to moisturize oily skin. (and the Deep Cleanser, Clarifying Mask and Blemish Control Toner work great together with it to help blemish prone skin). I also have a very light extra hydrating gel for those times when your skin needs more moisturizing.
If you live in the Houston or Katy areas, I would be more than happy to drop by with the product for you to try. (I am a Mary Kay consultant). Let me know?
With Mary Kay, you get to try the product before you buy it, so you know how it works on your skin!

I absolutely love Arbonne's Intelligence Line. It adapts and formulates TO your skin. It provides just the right amount of moisturizer for oily or dry skin.
If you'd like to try some, please email me.

God Bless
I've used Mary Kay's Timewise moisturizer for years and love it. I also really like Arbonne's Intelligence line.
Overdrying of the skin will definately make your skin very oily trying to compensate for all the oil that has been removed and lead to larger break outs. But with that being said, I would try Cetephyl. It's one of the most universal lotions on the market. It seems like it works for everyone.
Hi A.,
Im certified to analysis skin. I had similar problems before I came across an Artistry line of products that worked for me (a renown dermatologist created the line). With out seeing your skin I can say clogged pores/ oily skin are the result of one of the three reasons or a combination of;
1. Improper skin routine. Most people use too harsh of a cleanser and not enough of the right kind of moisturizer. A toner is also very important to returning balance and moisture to the skin. This type is usually normal to dry, but since they are using an improper skin routine, they are over stripping their skin, causing it to over produce.
2. Environmentally based. This is for sensitive skin people who break out, sometimes as bad as a rash, because of the reaction to the pollutants in the air. Usually I recommend the soothing creme which provides extra protection and calms the skin down with several vitamins.
3. Natural oil producers. For this skin type there are a couple of options. From a skin cleansing system, to a pore clearing mask or a microdermabrasion treatment.
These products work and can be customized to fit you personally. Even works for sensitive skin types like rosacea.
Depending on how close you are I could come by and analysis your skin to see whats going on and make some recommendations. I can do this for you for free (a $75 value)... in exchange for you to make a review about your experience. Or If you are interested I can send you a couple of samples in the mail to try in the privacy of your home.
If you decide to buy - Its a very affordable line to continue, it has a 100% guarantee.. you open it, you use it, and if you dont like the results your money is refunded back to you.
I would love to help you in any way that I can (sale or no sale)please feel free to ask me any questions that you might have...
Hi A.,
I'm going to have to agree with Stephanie W. I've used Arbonne skin care for 14 years now and there is nothing better for your skin. It is all natural with nothing in it to clog your pours like just about everything out there that is man made. I've tried them all and I will never stop using Arbonne. It sounds like Stephanie W. might be able to get you some samples to try. Good luck and good skin! L.
Hello,
I am an Arbonne consultant. I have a moisturizer that would be perfect for your skin condition. It is the intelligence line. It is PH correct so it moisturizers where you need it, and doesn't where you don't.....
I would love to send a sample to you via mail.

I have a great moisturizer that is for oily skin and dos not clog pores.
I fyou give me your address, I willsend you a travel size to try.
Thaks,

Mary Kay has a good one that I use. But, keep in mind, anytime you suffer with pimples and you change your skincare routine, it can cause pimples anyway because your skin isn't used to it. Once you find one that feels good and you know it is a good brand and should be working, then give it a month before you try something else or decide it isn't working. Sometimes, it is just skin shock, :-). Go by the name, ingredients, feel, etc. And then give it time.
Good Morning A.--
Mary K. Cosmetics makes a wonderful Moisture for Oily skin. I used the product for 9 years in my earlier days and now that I am maturing my skin needs have changed.
One thing to remember with oily skin--use a product designed just for oily skin and never use hot water. It causes the oil glands to work overtime.
Please call ###-###-#### and it would be my pleasure to assist you in selecting a program developed just for your skin needs. All is complemtery and Mary K. has a 100% money back guarantee.
Blessings--K.
Apply lemon juice all over your skin. Lemon juice contains vitamin C, which is great for healing the skin and the lemon juice will also remove extra oils. Lemon juice can be used as a natural make up remover too.
Try the Mary Kay Timewise for oily skin. When used with the cleanser, you will see results quickly. I've been using the products for about 5 years now and love them!! Good Luck! =)
