We are expecting again! According to my husband he "knew" a week before we found out b/c I was exhausted by 8 pm and snappy over little things. Add to that the fact that I just finished my lunch (10:45) and have probably made 5 trips to the bathroom ALREADY today... yup... pregant!

What funny or freaky things did you experience that let you know it was time to hit the drugstore for a test?

What can I do next?

CONGRATS!!

For me, I can NOT stand the smell of scotch, beer, or orange juice. All 3 pregnancies, I was only barely pregnant, and I would puke if I smelled any of the above. The third time, I knew before I even peed on a stick ;)

I had several lossses, so even tho I have one lovely Earth child, I have lots of Heaven babies, so did the first months many times within a few short years.

For me the first thing (before horrid morning sickness kicked in), was the incredible chest pain when doing simple things like walking up the steps...not running, just walking. OMG they felt like someone punched me. I was pretty thin back then, so pretty flat chested, but had to start sleeping with a too-tight small sized compression type excercise bra on most nights for a few weeks till it eased back. Ouchy.

And that need for sleep...phew...it was always nap time!

And drug store tests did not work for me. First 2 times they said negative, but I had blood tests a few days later that said otherwise. Even did a pee test at the Dr office (Negative) then they did an ultrasound a few minutes later (positive)...LOL. So no more drug store tests for me after that...only blood tests!

CONGRATS, CONGRATS, CONGRATS!

I knew I was preggers when I had the biggest craving for Cream of Wheat cereal at 2am for like 5 days straight. And, the sleeping! I couldn't stay awake for the life of me. I would sit down for a minute at my desk-fall asleep. Talk to someone and mid-sentence, fall asleep! That was with my first pregnancy-my second was SOOO much different. I had incredibly superhuman energy and didn't sleep hardly at all. Its interesting how each one is different.

I never take naps during the day, and one weekend, I handed our 1 year old daughter to my husband and told him that I was going upstairs to take a nap. He looked stunned. I slept for 2 hours, woke up, and realized immediately I was pregnant!

Well, it's not funny. Sorry. But, my breasts were KILLING me for about a week. I took a test and it came back negative. I was sure there was something wrong with me. I was exhausted tired and couldn't get myself to the gym anymore, my breasts were still killing me and I took another test a week later and it came back positive! People forget that there can be a lot of false negatives out there! Now, proud parent to a 7 month old baby girl as well as 2 older boys (9 and 6).

Lost all interest in chocolate and my morning latte. Then of course this was followed by 60 days of no interest in eating anything and wicked all day nausea. Best wishes for a healthy baby and congrats!

Awwww, so excited for you!!! Congratulations!

It's funny how when you're pregnant on this site, you tend to know, and follow the other pregnant ladies!

My story went like this:

We were TRYING NOT to get pregnant before the wedding due to some unpaid maternity leave vs. available aflac insurance after marriage issues... so we abstained for over a week during my fertile time (which I religiously track)... so I figured we were smooth sailing...

Well, I was due to start my period ON our wedding day. Didn't come. We went away for a couple days after the wedding, and I figured it would come while we were away. Didn't come. So naturally, due to our diligent abstinence, I chalked this up to wedding stress getting me out of whack. Seriously DID NOT think I was pregnant. So a few more days go by, and I'm now like 7 days late... so I figure, what the heck, I'll test... but I was SURE it would be negative.

Well, peed on the stick, and INSTANTLY POSITIVE. What?????

So bottom line for us is that God's plan differed slightly from ours... and of course, He won! LOL

We are really blessed because we were going to start trying immediately after the wedding, and as we all know, trying certainly doesn't mean you will get pregnant easily. I'm 38, so we knew it might not be so easy. But this was WAY easier than we ever dreamed! Didn't even have to try!

Best Wishes, K.! Definitely keep us updated on your pregnancy... and I'll be looking for all your pregnancy related posts! :)

I woke up in the middle of the night with a weird feeling of being sweaty and also really thirsty. A friend of mine had recently told me of feeling that way when she was pg so I thought maybe....and even though I'd gone through several ovulation predictor tests that had come up negative over the past month, I used the pg test that came with the kit and to my amazement those lines showed up!

Well my cat always knows when I am pregnant. He usually sleeps or rest beside me in the bed, but when I am pregnant he climbs on top of my body. Its very funny seeing him sleep atop my side hips. Its like he is a goose that is waiting for the egg to hatch. I am 8 months pregnant now, and he still climbs on top of me. Won't be long now.

Congrats! I'm prego for the third time--about a week and a half after conception, I started to get the round ligament pain! (Didn't get that with baby #1 until about 3 months in!) I also noticed one morning as I was getting into the shower that I had colostrum on my breasts! I still can't believe I saw these changes so early.
