If you can't get them back to a shade of white you'd actually wear, what about getting them professional dyed a color you would wear?
The other day I was cleaning my closet and came across the shoes I wore on my wedding day. They are really cute strappy sandles that I would love to be able to wear again (yes, they still fit). Problem is, they have "yellowed" and are now more of a cream color than white. Does anyone know if there's a way to "bleach" them or restore the original white color? The straps are fabric. If anyone has any tips, I'd love to hear them! Thanks!

You might be able to use a toothbrush to clean them baking soda/water mix.
I think you could also try 50/50 vinegar/water mix, or a laundry cleaner for soaking, like Shaklee nature bright, or possibly just treat it with a bit of peroxide. Of course, pick one, don't mix any of these or you will have a toxic chemical concoction.
You might try marthastewart.com if she doesn't offend you. She has a cleaning/housekeeping book with a stain treating list that is handy.
One more. Rit and others, sell a "color out" remover.
Good luck.
I would try Sol U Mel! It can take out the most difficult stains! Even permanent marker, nail polish and tar! I'm sure it will take it out the yellow! Plus its non toxic! Let me know if you want to try it!
Try spraying them with spray and wash and wipe them down with a wet cloth. This works great on cleaning gym shoes.
