WTH Is with This Mamapedia Poll?

I was reading the question which asked if it is "Possible to feel pregnancy symptoms a day after having sex?" and there was a Mamapedia poll on the side which asks how you would feel if your 18yo+ child got a tattoo...
The options are:

(A.) Exclaim you have never seen such artistry
(B.) Reveal your own tattoo
(C.) Shrug it off, everybody's doing it
(D.) Burst into tears

It was the last one that made me do a double-take. I laughed because it seems so extreme in comparison to the other options. That very well may be someone's reaction, but I wonder why the first 3 options are "cool parent" and the 4th one is more "cut the cord already!" Lol. Who does those polls?

The answer options seem a bit passive-aggressive and/or one-sided there.
Anyway, I didn't take the poll because none of those responses are come close enough as to how I would react.
I just wanted to share because I wondered if anyone else had seen it and had any thoughts about the answer options.
Also, could someone tell me the results?
It doesn't show unless you vote. :oP

So What Happened?

Hey Molly, thinking about it now, I think I would "burst into tears" if one of my kids got any of the crazy, crass tattoos I've seen online such as girls with a penis tattooed on their chests, huge eyes tattooed on top of the breasts or designer logos on the face OR MISSPELLINGS *head smack*...In that case I'd cry and wonder when, where and how I had failed them. Haha...
Otherwise, if it were something simple and small I'd be glad it wasn't a penis and implore them not to get any more.

I never do the polls because there is never a none of the above and none of the answers tend to fit my attitude.

Well, what would you do?

Personally, ha ha ha, I am hoping, my children would consult me first about the design, I will disapprove of everything, they will do it anyways, and then I would shake my head.

If my girls are anything like me, they wont do it because they are too picky. Who knows what my crazy son will do.

Yes - I noticed the poll and thought the choices were strange - three that were pretty much the same and a fourth that was radically different.

Hey Cupcake,

I'm right there with you. Where are the sane options? How about a conversation in early teen years about "well, honey, if you get a neck tattoo, be prepared that some businesses will not hire you and that's their right, so it's a pretty big, permanent decision"?

I have five, and all are easily concealed. My mom teased me relentlessly about the first one, but no one cried or complimented.

None of the answers there.

I was surprised to find out my daughter had one on the back of her arm. I asked her if it was a fake one and she told me no. I then asked how long she had had it and was told over a year because a friend wanted one and said she would pay for hers. Thank goodness it can be concealed. Since that time she has gotten several others and they were tastefully completed -- all concealed and now I can identify her body in a bad situtation.

To each his own.

The other S.

PS I still haven't gotten my first but soon.

I'm with you, I didn't vote because none of the options fit. I don't have any idea who comes up with these things!

Actually, the poll specified if your child got a tattoo on their neck, or at least the one on my page does. So I would burst into tears. I'm a strong believer that tattoos should be hidable, in case of a very conservative setting. A tattoo on the neck would make me so sad! ^_^

I have no idea who comes up with the polls, though.
